CPU Difficulty

One of the things I've noticed is that the CPU defenders are a lot faster than their ratings suggest, also they have the ability to throw off the back foot at rocket speeds across the diamond, not to mention getting to the outfield ball very fast. Almost half the time a ball goes to either SS or 3B and even with the slower CPU players it's like a 50/50 chance getting that out, while the CPU can do amazing plays and the odds of me getting on base are null if I hit it anywhere near there.
CPU offensively, I've also noticed the CPU will pick up tremendous speed 3/4 of the way onto the bag, regardless of the speed rating. The CPU is a lot faster on the base paths.
With the already difficult timing window coupled with an amazing CPU defense, it's very punishing and takes a lot of enjoyment away for me. I don't expect you will change this (I should have learned my lesson from previous years), due to No Gameplay Changes during the last couple years. It's like you guys double-downed on the notion that everything is just as it should be. Im just hoping that someone @ SDS will take this in consideration for a gameplay change at some point.

@Kolah, I don't doubt at all what you're saying, but curious if you have dynamic difficulty turned off.
I turned it off to start the year, and while the defense is still plenty better than they probably should be, in my experience, the CPU makes errors and errant throws at about the rate I'd expect when playing against lower rated defenders (the reaction, I think, will always be better than us since the CPU "knows" where the ball is going without needing a puny, meat brain to process what it sees). I've even seen a ball I hit into the corner appear to bounce of a fielder's head as he chased it down.
That's just a guess, though, at something that might help the experience a little... not even sure if that's how it operates, but if you're doing well and difficulty is adjusted on-the-fly, it may manifest as runners getting faster, infielders throwing seeds off their back foot, etc.

Thank you for your response, I will be looking into that. I'm fairly sure I selected non-dynamic, but I will recheck that. Anything to make this more enjoyable than where it is at the moment for me is what I'm all about, lol.

I have to agree and I will add the CPU seems to be throwing more balls then ever, I am in no means patient when I'm batting, I just want to get hits and progress my stats and I've walked 20 times already this year.
What really bothers me is the CPU will throw 3 terrible pitches and then come back and start hitting the black of the strike zone in impossible places to make contact. I find that very frustrating.
O and I do agree about the fielding, I had a ball hit by Manny yesterday and I saw the Fielder who was nowhere close turn and run after it, thinking to myself ok there's no way he catches that I sent my runner from first... yah he caught it at the track, had no chance to get my runner back to the bag, double play. Following inning Pirates hit a walkoff homerun.

I have yet to see and fielders warp to make a catch so far at least, I'm guessing the animation was just fixed instead of the unrealistic speeds these guys can hit to make plays

I had a foul ball that was 100 feet foul, but the right fielder miraculously caught it in the corner
