I was about to consider grinding that for packs instead, once I finished the conquest maps.You get the same amount of packs for winning the championship as you always have. 15 Show and 1 Ballin.

We're all entitled to our own opinions about which we prefer but im confused as to why you would consider 26ish games of mini seasons a more tiresome grind than 30 games PLUS the tile simming of conquest.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN Mini seasons I found a little more difficult simply because the other teams you play against are stacked with higher cards. It’s not like conquest where you play against the MLB team lineups.

Yeah i get that but even still, its a negligible difference. Doing the old US map got you a 20 pack(?), doing mini seasons gets you 16 packs. Doing US map 3 times gets you 60 packs...doing 3 mini seasons gets you 45 standard packs, 3 Ballin packs plus 23 additional standard packs, 3 deluxe packs just for accumulating stats.
Seems like a no-brainer to me. If people grind the US map multiple times, it would probably make more sense to grind the same 3 inning games minus the time wasted simming 200+ tiles.

They did at least fix the slow presentation though, no more statcast and that nonsense

I actually went back and checked last year's mini seasons, Classic was changed up but the TA 1 was better than I remember, but I think I ignored it because the missions force you to use the TA cards

Last year also gave 4 ballin packs each season to this years 1 and again a mission that will likely take you 2 seasons.

It doesnt take you 2 seasons to win the championship one time.
30 games of conquest + hours of simming 200+ tiles = 20 packs
20 games + 8 sims = 15 standards and a BIAH
Literally a 4 pack difference in half the time for one season. THAT is the negligible difference.
If those bonus missions take 2 seasons : 53 Show packs, 2 BIAH, 3 deluxe packs = 58 packs
2 US conquest runs = 40 packs.
You get more packs in 2 runs of MS than you do in 2 runs of Conquest and it takes less time. Not sure why the math isnt adding up to you.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN I’m not counting the 15 packs for winning the season because it’s exactly the same. The packs, again, are the EXTRA packs you can earn. They’ve basically cut them in half by making the goals take two seasons to finish them. I’m not comparing anything to conquest. I’m simply pointing out that they heavily nerfed mini season rewards from last year.

.GOD. I just found that out yesterday and I hate it. I can do showdown, but I usually only do showdown once to get the card I need, because it’s one of the more stressful modes for me.
But now I have to do it FOUR times??? I hate showdown being required for cards. Imo it should be optional.

Its for a card thats one off the top card, so same level of rewards as BR would be for example (granted BR rewards are usually high profile names, but its still a much better card then we typically get from offline modes int he past). It even comes with 4 henchmen along the way.
I do think these should be sellable though.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN I get why other people are suggesting it as an alternative to repeatable conquest. It is IMO a better alternative, but those games can be more difficult for people who aren’t very good at the game. My point, however, had absolutely nothing to do with conquest. I was simply pointing out that they essentially cut the extra rewards in half compared to last year.

@GoozeFn_PSN Yes. I just forfeit all the other stuff and I only play one stadium per because if I lose the 2nd game I lose both packs. I generally play on Rook or Vet because I can't grind stats as well at AS or higher.

@JDHalfrack_PSN If DQ randomized the team/stadium you were playing in stadium challenges it would be a million times better. I have been playing the same two teams over and over and over again to farm The Show packs. And with no new DQs yet, I guess, I'll be continuing to play the White Sox and Indians every game until we get a new one.
