The grid slug/ online program

SDS made offline a grind slug and unrewarded the something for online. For mini seasons you have to play through 2 to 3 full mini seasons to not only get some of the repeatable rewards but to get all of them. Conquest is basically beat it and done thing now and there is no repeatable conquests at all. Diamond Quest is so so and SDS seem to be trying to nerf everything and push offline players to that new game mode. team affinity is a little bit a grid slug. And I'm a person who doesn't mind griding for stuff in games. But this feel like a slug grind to me.
Online: SDS kill events, BR and somewhat ranked seasons with adding on that stupid new online program. Events is basically a pxp boost now. Why should I pay 1500 to play BR now and it full of sweaty games and the best of the best is playing that mode now. Ranked Is still somewhat the same. And it seem you have to wait for sds to add more missions to the new online program. What happened to play your way SDS. They should of keep the old program and try to build onto it. What is that old saying if it's ain't broken don't fixes

I will not play diamond quest simply because the theme is to play it your way and wasted time on moments and showdowns where just plain bad luck dooms you, it makes it not worth it at all. But for others the mode might excite them but it is there new direction to reward that mode and reduce rewards in other modes. The non repeatable rewards in conquest is the ultimate insult

Diamond Quest would be much better if they gave a slight bump to the % for challenge wins AND made stats count.

@ShadowWalker166_XBL The non repeatable rewards in Conquest and how they did mini seasons repeatable rewards was like slap in the face imo

I don’t mind the TA grind. I just play vs the cpu in 9 inning games on rookie with a roster of all players of the team I’m currently grinding. I pick a short field & high elevation park to do it at - though with the exit velocity nerf, I only score about 15-20 runs per game whereas I used to score 40+ per game. Still, Knock a team out per day usually. Will have them all done within a couple weeks.
Diamond Quest I played once & never again. My anxiety couldn’t deal with that. Not for me personally.

@IrishFist412_MLBTS I'm not a really big fan of QD. I do something similar to what you do. But I play a couple of games in mini seasons then after I will play the cpu on the hardest difficulty.

AGREE! The non repeatable conquest rewards are a slap in the face.

@MoeBuug68_XBL the game has been out for a week. Maybe let it breathe

If you feel the changes made this year were a slap in the face the problem is all you. A lot of this will improve over time anyway as the start of the season is always going to be stingiest
I am actually a little shocked to learn so many people grinded the USA map for packs. It is so much less time efficient than playing mini seasons, even the current version of mini seasons. Packs have always been, and still are, handed out in large quantities to the point where at some point in the middle of the season you have naturally collected the live series collection save 1 or 2 gate keepers and pack opening is a chore.
The big picture is SDS waved the white flag on sets and seasons, and it seems they have done so with shop packs as well. However, SDS still has two publishers to report to. It looks like what they are trying to do is make live series more valuable - I assume live series is the source of a large chunk of the micro transaction money they make. This is most noticeable by the decision to include the shop pack diamonds in the show packs. I have gotten 7 diamonds so far this year from Show packs: Tucker, Turner, and Skenes live series, 2 Pipeline, and 2 Houcks. For me personally I would rather have those pipelines than live series, as I dont push the live series collection (and this as a Mets fan who loves Beltran). Houck can get bent, but I think thats due to him being the only headliner at the time
So yes, the mini season repeatables are reduced. They werent as good as you are remembering at the start of last year, but they are still reduced. Its still worthwhile to grind (especially if you bring up USA conquest map), and I at least use the CC card a fair bit. I would be pretty confident in wagering that repeatable rewards will increase over time just as they did last year.
Conquest I can see them adding something similar to jazz map from 23 if people are constructive with their criticism. Keep in mind the people done with all the conquest maps is a pretty tiny portion of the overall base, most people are in the 'you are adding conquest maps faster than i can finish them' camp.
