Mini Season Farming Dead ?? ....
-
Last year people including myself would go into mini seasons do the repeatable missions for packs galore NOW this year those repeatable missions are not good and seem like they just made it so you cannot get them unless you play ALL the games and/or use a "glitched stadium".
Do the repeatable missions like get 300 hits I think it is not reset on a restart ?
SDS you take a step forward then 2 steps back and it's sad.

@blitz77tw_PSN There isn’t a good way to farm packs anywhere anymore. They crushed mini seasons. There’s zero replay value. The US conquest doesn’t have repeatable rewards either. They want us playing their new mode and for me it’s underwhelming. Sadly, it’s probably the most productive offline grind.

Can someone confirm: how is the mini season playoff format again?
Is the first series best 2/3 and then the championship best 3/5? Thanks in advance
-
No it should be best of 5 for both
-
Thank you good sir

Pretty sure those missions are like the wins for vouchers last year and they dont reset. 150 XBHs in a minimum 34 games is a bit unrealistic even on rookie (4 XBHs per game). 100 homeruns would require 3 HRs a game. 150 RBIs is almost 5 a game.

I think it would be more appropriate to say offline repeatability has effectively been limited/reduced to just diamond quest, as both conquest and mini-seasons have had any reason to repeat them removed.
-
Yeah those repeatable missions are basically impossible in one season so I don't know this yet, but I'm assuming they will carry over to the next time you play mini seasons. If not, that is yet another ridiculous change by SDS and will severely hurt grinders yet again
-
Start one mini season game, finish it then restart then check the goals to see if it carries over
-
Offline grind hell. Sds really went backwards imo. I don't mind grinding for stuff but this is crazy.

I am assuming the ms counters carry over, and the rewards they give are (imo) significantly better than packs as they are shop packs, and not just the pipeline ones...seems like future ones will be there too. There is also the 5k xp and 2k stubs that is repeatable, which isnt really enough for playing 20+ games. Im also hoping they intend to release more ms this year so there is less need to repeat
The big key will be how much content they release. If its like last year, then they really need to add the grindables back. If they give us a new ms each inning + refresh the classic one's rewards, I think its fine for ms.
Conquest should have a repeatable map either way though.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Didn’t they take out the 3 games for 5 packs repeatable one last year? 23 was the last year IIRC. A repeatable USA map is too big for me lol

Mini Seasons literally takes less time than the US conquest map that ppl used to grind in previous years and gives more rewards. While also giving you 3 free golds and a free diamond (in the CC one)
And you guys have to remember, this is early access. They are very much going to add more content and there's nothing to say those wont be even more repeatable.

Go back in now and see what is labeled as 'repeatable'.

They have to carry over. No way do they expect a player to get those stats over one mini season
If I’m wrong, they gotta correct that surely

@yankblan_PSN They have been slowly and steadily eliminating ways to make stubs since the 3rd year of cross console play (2023 I think that was). And now they have moved a step further by taking away farming The Show packs.
They used to give repeatable prosects cards in the US Map too. They took that away entirely last year or the year before.
IMO the new game mode is trash and not even worth the time. I always hope they eliminate showdown entirely but instead they added it to another mode. Grrrrreeaaaattt!!!

@doobiebross66-72_PSN They carry over. I just finished one and started a new one. The thing I think is stupid about mini seasons is they put 6 of the other teams right about the same team level but then they put the last two 6-8 team levels above your squad. I don't remember ever playing mini seasons where I was 6-8 team ranking behind any of the CPU teams Maybe it has something to do with being pre launch (week 0).

The grind is DQ. Uncover every space, beat the goblin it's like a guaranteed 10k+ for an hour of play
-
@BLAISEBLAISE_PSN I prefer playing actual games in the sports games I play. Never been a fan of showdown and diamond quest is full of Showdown missions. For me it's a big "meh".

@MagentaTundra97_XBL I’m not arguing the “fun” of Showdowns, believe me. I do them only when I have to, or if the progression vs grind ratio is worth it. At least they’ve added the stats missions to it, and the ones incorporated into DQ aren’t too bad (so far). They’ve made him generally easier since the first year (20) when I could’ve punched through a wall I got so mad.
It is waaay early, but it’s probably the most fun I’ve had since 19. 20 was similar but TA were a chore, then they added a bloated blood diamond series the next year, then moved on from Innings to go full on FOMO timed programs. I think they’re doing a decent job of giving everyone what they want while trying not to alienate too many people at the same time. Not easy.
As far as stubs making, people may have a point, but I pretty much play/collect/clear the binders once in awhile so it doesn’t bother me. I’ve learned that being a completionist in this game will drive you mad; I reserve that mindset for other, offline games.
