Mandatory showdown for Milestone program
-
Personally, I don't have the itch to play baseball at this point, so there's no need to finish this program.
I can beat most Showdowns, but I hate the way they make me feel. There's just a scummy cheapness to these that I'll avoid if necessary. I'll try, but maybe on an off work day. -
The concept of showdowns is fantastic. I just wish there was at least one midpoint and less RNG. I'll still do them when necessary though.
-
Normally with showdowns you only have to get a couple runs against the "final boss".
Here, it's 6 runs. Idk, I have some trouble hitting lefty/lefty (no such trouble righty/righty) & you usually get at least a couple lefties in your lineup.
Sale wasn't too bad. His slider was really easy for me to track, but Skubal is a pain. -

First time this has happened to me but oh well

@nymets1987_PSN I agree with you it also lets me grind other programs that way
-
Honestly I'd rather do a conquest than a stupid showdown I can build a squad i haven't used and have fun with the game instead of the predicted showdown that the rng is already set the second you load it up instead of veteran this one feel more like Allstars tbh

Am I the only one that likes showdown more than endless moments and these get 15 base hits with LF type missions?
No, I like easier showdowns much more than those endless, get 30 hits with … missions …
Guys, I am not good and I usually need most of the outs … I got these two with over 10 outs left. Try it before complaining too early

Everyone has their preference the repeatable pxp mission should be a given everytime
-
I too was able to beat it, first try with double figure outs remaining. Try to take the diamond 'vision perk,' if you can. Choose speed guys.
-
Maybe next year they can add some OR missions
Get 15 HR with Phillies OR 500 pxp with Milestone Schwarber
Complete Milestone Showdown OR SDS Conquest -
I finally was able to complete the showdown after 6 tries, it is still unnecessary to have to complete that showdown just to complete the program. To me it was difficult against Skubal but easy against Sale, I was able to get to the final showdown against Skubal each time but always ended up losing with the score tied or down by 1

Agree … on the most part … I do like the „give people options“-element … but I do not like the constant complaints, if SDS chooses to make it „a liiiiitttle harder“. Usually we have options …
The program was indeed very easy, but I guess, I gotta live with it having a different opinion -
I haven’t minded the Halloween showdown because you can at least earn cards to sell to boost stubs. It would be nice to see more like that. Draft showdown you get the same card over and over and it can’t be sold. The TA showdowns should be setup the same way. Once complete offer a player deck that can be used or sold from all show downs, then players can earn and buy the ones they weren’t able to achieve the win on.

@nymets1987_PSN suck less. These 2 showdowns are only 10 mins tops. This is a you issue.
-
@YOSHI24_MLBTS people like the OP will never do that. literally the time it took him to come here complain, and respond he could have been done. Unless he truly sucks, which i'm guessing is the case.

Its not about Showdown being hard for me. I don't think it is. I just absolutely hate the mode. I want to use my own cards. I want to earn pxp for my cards. I don't want to have to score 6 runs twice in a gimmicky mode that is NOT baseball.
On top of that, the mode only offers actual rewards once or twice a year. I can't say a single positive thing about it, although I get some people actually enjoy it.

There's gimmicky modes in all sports games, if you noticed.
I frown at them a bit, especially this year's 'perfect one-timer' in NHL, that I can't stand, but there will always be gimmicks in UT modes whether we like it or not. It is still baseball. You have to hit to score runs.
