Should I purchase this game?!

Hey everyone! So I'm a pretty big baseball fan. I've played MLB 16' and 18' in the past. What I love about 20' from what I heard is the expanded minor league rosters which sound amazing. Although playing a full 162 game season in it's entirety is exhausting and simming makes me feel like I'm not even playing or those aren't really my stats. I love the control that franchise mode has with trading and minor league call ups that it makes it hard to jump to a different mode. Any thoughts, opinions, or how you feel about the game would be awesome!

Ask @joshjays44. I think he’d tell you no, though.

I personally like the game. But then again I’m not a big whiner who complains any time something isn’t exactly to their liking.
And if you’re playing franchise you can just turn on critical situations and when you do decide to sim games their will be random times where the game will ask you if you want to jump to do things like make a comeback, hold a lead, or go for the 4th homer of a game with a certain player, etc. I find if you do that and play the occasional full game it’s pretty fun

Really? That's kinda hilarious. I think I'm the only one on the entire forum that even remotely enjoys his posts.

The "Full Minors" was a hoax. A bait and switch. There's nothing "full" about it. They have more real prospects than they normally do, but it's the same 3-tier system with the 15 player A ball and plenty of fake players. It was just a bunch of hype to string along the Franchise/sim players for another year. What's more? The rosters seem to be causing problems for cpu management and there are still severe problems with cpu logic. Many legacy issues still exist and it doesn't look like they're going to be addressed because the little DD darlings are complaining and threatening to not play, so no cuh-ching is priority.
Also, consider gameplay. Right now it isn't solidified yet. They can't fix the slew of problems (nothing new) and each patch changes the game, thus it could be very frustrating (again, nothing new) having to adjust to patch after patch especially if they break new things each iteration.
I'd say it's business as usual and it's going to be a frustrating year in which you'll end up hating the game and walking away. You'll probably have a little fun and then find too many things unbearable to suffer through again and again. If you're willing to risk that and have nothing better to do, then go for it.

Franchise mode is fine. I haven't had any of the gameplay issues that people talk about other than a few Good/Okay feedbacks when I feel I should've hit the ball harder.

Definitely get the game this year, especially if you're a franchise guy. Minor League Rosters are still a work in progress, but there is plenty of top prospects that have yet to make their debut. Experiment with Custom Leagues if you're looking to jump to a different mode.
