At this point I wish I wouldn't hit them. Pretty sure the couple perfect perfects I had were deep flyouts or line outs in the event. Pretty sure I hit hr on just late. Just late and just early seems to be the best way.

    Not every perfect Perfect though

It is a video game and the game SHOULD give accurate input data instead of a roll of the dice. This isn't D&D either so RNG should not be as much of a factor as it is. A perfect perfect should reflect as a critical hit not remain in the same realm as a normal hit with RNG. If a line drive shot goes straight to an infielders glove then the game should simply reflect that the hit wasn't a perfect perfect. Maybe the pitcher has higher pitching attributes than the batter has hitting attributes.

Even in the case of D&D you roll a 20 sided dice with your attributes taken into consideration. If you make an engagement that requires high strength stats it will raise or lower the roll requirements based on your attributes. If your strength is high then bar is set lower as your chances are better and if your strength is low then the bar is set higher as your chances are worse.

In MLB TS it doesn't ficking matter at all it seems. It just says perfect perfect, you get ZERO information as to why ie pitcher hits per 9 against the batters contact and power, and left with the most unrewarding feeling ever and confused.
If the game is taking attributes into consideration it should not tell you you hit it perfect perfect if you didn't. To act as if it's unreasonable for gamers to be upset or frustrated about this is tone deaf and ridiculous. Video games should reflect and reward accordingly if your input is skilled and accurate as the game itself wants you to be.

It is a video game. It's not real baseball nor real life.

That's all well and good but it gets a little confusing when one group of players complain that The Show is not realistic enough while there is another group that complains about things that are too realistic.

I still believe that perfect/perfects are successful far more than people who come here to complain after a tough loss want to make us believe.

SDS up until last year posted community stats. For the week of July 3rd last year, online players had an .877 batting average on perfect/perfect across all difficulty levels. That seems like a pretty video gamey number to me.

Exactly this. No one comes in here to complain about the late timing homerun on the pitch below the knees or that line drive to the gap driving in 2 to take the lead on an early swing with [censored] poor PCI placement.

Which is why i say, thATs BAsEbAlL. You win some, you lose some...you hit some, you miss some.

I agree with the comments, I do believe that it's part of the game. Im just saying I feel like all my perfect perfect within the past few weeks have gotten me out most of the time. Which is why I said I'd rather be early or late than perfect In this game

Most hitting is trash. Too many of my good swing timings near the middle of the plate are foul offs. Hitting seems broken

It’s almost like people forget that pitches come from different angles and cross the plate in different locations. Wouldn’t it follow that hitting the ball on the button with excellent timing could send it off on at least as many different trajectories?

Sometimes, there are people with gloves in the way.

Baseball feels streaky because small samples are weird when looked at in isolation. I’m glad this game reflects that (yes, I am aware that random chance is the cause, and where baseball is concerned, be it real baseball or a video game, that is a good thing).

Maybe the choice of the word “perfect” wasn’t the best idea; people that think only in terms of reward for their very important prowess in video games cannot stop projecting their idea of perfection onto the results that their perfection ought to bring forth into the world for all to admire.

Nothing good can come from them seeing it twice, accompanied by a loud bang.

You're exactly correct! Sometimes you pay $80 for a [censored] product and you just gotta take the hit. Kinda common in the gaming industry these days. Some people like low grade [censored]. One mans trash is another's treasure. Glad someone enjoys it. Keeps the devs employed another few months.

That is interesting you mentioned that. I have already said and experienced for myself that the perfect perfects were better in 23 than 24. This is constant with my points about perfects then. Thank you. 24 doesn't have the same perfect perfect results as previous games.

I'd love to see these stats for 24

@AdeptOfMemory_PSN, when you take the trash out at your house, do you stand in the street and tell everyone about it? My heart goes out to all the poor passersby who now know all the things you didn’t like about it, why you’ve decided to put it out, how smelly and spoiled it all is, and how much happier you are with the old [censored] you decided to keep instead…

Let that [censored] go, little buddy.

If you don’t like it and you don’t want it anymore, then turn around and go back inside. And put some pants on, for god’s sake.

I'm sorry you're in such a sad position where spending $80 on something is a life altering decision. I've spent $100 a year on every COD since 2009. Currently, the only one i have installed is from 2020 because the last 3 have been garbage. You know what i dont do? I dont go in the Activision forums everyday to tell everyone how much i hate the games. I uninstall and go about my life. I find something else to do.

You should probably try that. Being a sad miserable doo shh clearly isnt working for you.. Going back to 21 or 23 obviously didnt help....maybe NCAA will be your new thing and you can whiz in the EA corn flakes for a while.
