Theme Teams…

Would be a lot cooler if card restrictions weren’t a thing. I wonder what theme teams would be like with out these restrictions. Will have to wait till January to find out I guess. Who was like yeah Captain cards great idea. Then someone was like I got an idea. Let’s make it so after every season they don’t get to use those cards for next season In ranked. This making theme teams pointless.
The idea of theme teams is to build a team of legends and flashback cards. Not live series cards.

I disagree, the point is to build theme teams of whatever you might want. Personally I love the guardians so I roll out a guardians theme team with some live series and whatever available others I have. It makes your favorite team viable online

I don’t mind building a new one each season , started this year with Rangers and Braves. I would like to see more captain options come along though. Maybe some other 87’s even. Be nice if we could get some 89 cores in a captain program later on.
Completely unrelated but they ought to update the core card rewards from nation of baseball each season too , would give me a reason to revisit this.

I like the new format for this; it feels more like gambling with the new season’s release… maybe you get lucky with the card releases (since you’re likely working with captains you’ve had for a while), or maybe you don’t.
I picked up the Twins captains in Season 1 but used mostly Seattle then, but, now… lots of options, and can put together a pretty fun team with that boost. Lewis will go nicely with Lee (WC), Castro, and that gold Morneau, who’s a real solid hitter with that boost. Crossing my fingers for Carew (please don’t be an Angel!).
Maybe those pirates captains will work out next time…

We need a generate best lineup based on a selected Captain.

We need more than 4 lineups if we are going to be running theme teams based on dozens of Captain options.

Captains should not count as Wildcards if using a previous seasons Captain.

All team Captains should be available. I will grind... make a new US map in conquest and make the team Captains the reward.

A pitcher and a hitter early in the XP path I think, but nothing in the 4 weeks since.
