Ryan Helsley reliever of the month
-
Reliver of the Month for June for N.L. 12 saves, 2.77 ERA in 13 IP, arguably top 2-3 closer in MLB
SDS: lets make his live series a silver 78
Alternate reality: Helsley on Yankees or Dodgers...make him a 99!
-
Was he shaky in any of those saves? Did he allow a lot of baserunners and just get lucky? I could be wrong, but there was at least one closer better than him statistically. 2.77 ERA for a close for a month isn't amazing. Not arguing that he is not good. I wish he was in my Orioles pen.

He has 29 H and 47 Ks in 39 ip and a 9.9%BB rate. He gets the save but his /9s won't be that high and that's most of the RPs rating.

@DoIHearBossMusic_PSN isn’t his WHIP like 1.8 over the last month?
What atttubute does saves and ERA upgrade?

Carlos Estevez should be a gold, he retired 26 straight from May 28th to June 25th and won RP of the month in the AL.
Get to work SDS

@fellspointguy_MLBTS Which is why I said arguably top 2-3 closer

Yep, even as a Cardinals fan I can look at the stats and see that his K/9 rate is down this year and his H/9 and HR/9 are up.
He had one save where he pitched a single inning, give up 2 hits, walked 2 and gave up 2 earned runs and still got the save because the score was 4-1 when he entered.
Another game in June he game in to a 0-0 tie and gave up 2 runs for a loss.
That said, I think SDS screwed him in their last update. For the last 28 days his K/9 rate is
13.5 which is almost 3 points higher than his season average yet SDS did not boost his K/9 rating. -
@Dolenz64_XBL Yeah, not saying he should've been a high diamond, but a 84-85 is not out of the question for him, especially given his past dominance as well if they still keep to that 3 year bs
