Wild Card Weekend

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN nah. I think if you removed sets and seasons altogether you'd see a massive bump in the playerbase. It may not stop all the complaints, cause there's plenty to give, but you would absolutely see and increase in playerbase.
And if you say that's false, you can't call people out saying "ok! See ya tomorrow!" When they say they quit playing. That means you don't believe the player decline or claims the game is dead are true but yet you also believe people that quit won't come back.........
Yeah pretty sure i can call out whoever tf i want. I dont know, nor do i care, about the number of people leaving the game. I do, however, know that people in here are completely full of [censored] when they pull this "waaah this game sucks!! Sets and seasons are trash!! IM SO DONE!!" BS. Not only do they not leave the game, they stay in the forums to remind us of their opinions ad nauseam. We dont take you guys seriously. Not even a little bit.
If i hated a video game as much as some of the people in here, i'd move on to one of the other 400 games i have in my library or buy a new one. Some people like to wallow in their own [censored] and then complain when the rest of the world doesn't smell it.

@AdeptOfMemory_PSN I agree, i mean at this point, i'm trying to find other games to play lol. I've been playing a ton of MLB 21. its still popping over there. NCAA in 19 days....not that i'm counting.

I’m not complaining, I’m trying to help offer a solution, a lot of people don’t want to regrind, so throwing something fun in there will bring some people back. The re-grind feels like you finished your homework, you got it all right, but your parents making you do it again because they don’t like your penmanship.

Idk...maybe im in the minority here but i dont look at the grind as a chore as much as others. Theres nothing time consuming about anything in this game. Im over 400K in the xp path with over 2 months to play. I do all my grinding offline on my own time because im focusing on the bigger picture. That bigger picture being season 4 when all cards become usable and building a monster team to finally take online. In the meantime, if i get burnt out, i find something else to do, whether its real world stuff or video game stuff.
I just think SDS has a clear path as to where they wanna take this game and no amount of suggestions or "get rid of seasons" posts in the forums are gonna cause them to deviate from that plan.

How does adding an extra, or multiple, wild cards spots help the grind; considering Season 1 cards don't accrue pxp towards Season 2 progress?
-
It’s not about the grind, the biggest complaint people are having is they don’t want to regrind. Season 2 feels like season 4 last year when the game had a massive drop, they’re are bigger issues here with pack stuff, programs and not enough legends. The seasons model is in the game this year, they’re not going to pivot from it, but I think the mass majority of the community would welcome a wild card weekend, where you can use any card you want in ranked.
-
@Jcassaro44_MLBTS season 4 should be just a free for all with all cards eligible and bring out the biggest, wildest cards they can think of. This is just an example but "all seasons eligible in season 4"
Season reward path bosses
Barry Bonds Giants 99
Greg Maddux Braves 99
Alex Rodriguez Mariners 99Just give me something outrageous and let the ranked games get wild

I left. Haven't played a full game since it flipped to season 2. That may change once content picks back up which is why I check the forum. Yet,, why? I'd grind it all in a couple of wks. Gain the collection rewards. Then right back down to 88s due to the naive power creep. Not sure I'll pick it back up this time. This is a poor effort by SDS. And, honestly, they know it or they would not be as quiet as what they are.

Bruh. This ain't the NFL. Ain't gonna be no WC Weekend, ever! It could break the game.

I love the game and I’m going to somehow try to keep playing when NCAA comes out. The work or lack of put into DD this year. Not helping. Absolutely no creativity. Nothing new. Same boring modes. I hate sets but that doesn’t bother me as bad as the boring state of the game. Hopefully 25 is a totally revamped game. NCAA does look incredible but I’m sure it will have its issues. I like the op suggestion of wild card weekend.
-
@Jcassaro44_MLBTS Thats not what people want.

I am around 800K and I am already burned out. I was rushing to unlock all three wildcard spots becuase I didn’t want to play with shitty cards again, I don’t even want to play anything now because the current structure forces us to play with a purpose instead of playing for fun.
Sets and seasons have made this game a marathon, it feels like work tbh.
