Two-Way Player Progression
-
I always choose SP/RF as my combo (all hall the true King of Swing, Babe Ruth). Previous years progression was practically universal for all position choices (Call up to AAA just after the All-Star game, to The Show about 3 to 4 weeks after that). But this year has been uniquely different, mostly. Just being a standard fielding position can earn you call up to The Show as early as June 1st and July 1st for SP (no clue about Relief or Closer). But my Two-way player managed to get called up on May 15th, 1 day ahead of a 4 game road series in LA against the Dodgers (Cincinnati Reds) in which Shohei Ohtani is slated for the first game of the series (Apparently SDS didn't get the memo that he's not pitching this season). My only complaint I'd have out of the experience is being forced into the 5th slot of the Reds pitching rotation (it was the 45th game of the season for the Reds and 46th game for the Dodgers) just to have a battle of the Two-way Players even though I knock Hunter Greene down to #2 and take the #1 spot in the rotation. Otherwise, I'm curious if anyone else has had their Two-way Player called up just as early or is it just me because of the timing of the Reds vs Dodgers Shohei Ohtani match-up?
Also, anyone else have their Two-way player pitching rotation messed with just to try and get it in during the 3 games at the end of each month that the have double stat point gains?

Do you really want SDS injecting real life injuries into the game modes? Because if you do, I guarantee you that will cause a lot of hostility.
There is no secret to call ups in RTTS. It is entirely rooted in overall attribute number and being rated at least equal to and ideally better than the player in the same position on the MLB team. For a two-way player whose primary position is starting pitcher, that's your measure. You have to reach or exceed the fifth starter's overall attribute level.
The second consideration is the calendar date. Generally, the pattern is that call ups will not happen until July. Your two-way player getting called up in May is the earliest I have heard anyone getting their RTTS player promoted to MLB. Perhaps that has to do with the overall quality of the Red's rotation.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL attributes are not the primary determining factor. And if overall quality of the Reds Rotation was a determining factor, neither of my pitchers should have had to play a day in the Minors. My standard starting pitcher had better pitching attributes and a higher overall rating than my Two-wayPlayer, threw nothing but perfect games with 20+ strikeouts in each game in April and May and didn't get the call up to AAA until June. But position players get called up at the start of each month and the Two-way player didn't even have to put in a full month in the AAA. My guess is it's primarily based on performance and how it impacts the team overall. So someone that's only playing 5 to 6 games a month won't progress as fast as someone playing every game.

Well, I've been playing this game for several years, and overall attribute has, in fact, been the primary factor. It's been that way in the working aspect of the game since RTTS was the first game mode of the title. Works the same way if you are a position player, pitcher, or two-way player. The only difference is that a two-way player is measured for call up's on his relative attribute level compared to the other pitchers on the staff: starter or bullpen.
But, feel free to think what you want to think

And when I can manage the same timeline of call ups (not sure about the mid-May call up to The Show) using nothing but bronze level cards (Skill Set & Perks) and Silver equipment (lowest level), that tells me it's less the attributes and more about performance. The previous 3 games had an identical call up pattern for all players of after theAll-Star game to the AAA and beginning of August to The Show (2021 was nearly mid August due to how far back they pushed the start of the season). This is the first year where your position affects how soon it actually is, but it appears they all get called up to The Show before the All-Star Game. I've been playing since 21 and this has been what I have seen in game.
