S2 Chapter 1 Team affinity XP

Why is there no way to earn xp from teams in these divisions to start season 2? It says the only way to earn xp is by using S2 players. It wasn't this way in S1 Chapter 1. We are currently forced to play extreme showdowns and exchange players to earn xp after the moments now. Why? SDS needs to add the repeatable team missions from S1 C1 back.

S2 eligible, not s2/ So live series and core. Same as s1.
Its a bit of slog to get to 60k admittedly, but if you play mini seasons, conquest, or ranked things progress fast enough.
All things considered I think its a pretty good setup.

There are missions for using any season 2 eligible player from the division, instead of specific teams.

Oh, I see now. The wording got me. All I saw was S2 and wondered how was I supposed to gain xp without having S2 players to gain the xp in the first place.

It would be a great set up IF the wildcards we grind to unlock would actually count towards Team Affinity, but they don’t. Which for me defeats the entire purpose and I grinded forever to unlock Rollins the last day of Season 1 only to not use him now because it’s pointless. For many of us SDS completely ruined the Wildcards with that terrible decision.

I understand the point being made and can only say that I am really glad that I am not so focused on grinding the most efficiently that having a single card not progressing the program kills it for me.

the trick is pitching , you can turn over the "repeatable" missions for pitching faster than batting , ie 7500 for 10 strike outs so you are constantly getting 7500 or 10k while your batting accumulates , then when you get a batting its like a bonus jump , so always be mindful of your pitching requirements for both "general missions" and "boss pitching"
i start out with ALE but i do not load up with all ALE players , i go with my best squad , then as all the teams progress , some fastr than others depending on my players , by the time i get ALE complete there are atleast 2 divisions that have progressed further than the others , i choose one and set my pitchers for that division , replace any players from completed divisions , by the time im on my last division , im stacked with all players for it and it progresses fast and its usually almost doone by then anyway
but conquetsis a big jump so i do them , i hate show down so i do not play it
