Be patient, cpu pitchers have tendencies , last year I played the rockies a lot vs cpu and I forget which but he always spammed the cutter . Another pitcher was wild so I always took 2 strikes etc. Veteran difficulty seems to throw more strikes for me . Use quirks and hot zone . If a batter is a first pitch hitter , never throw a strike first pitch . I also noticed dead red hitters chase fastballs above the zone in 2 strikes counts .

Im kinda in the same boat. Im close to finishing the reward path (about 5000 xp from 10K, 55K from the 3rd boss) and i feel like im just trying to fly through games so im swinging at everything. Balls out of the zone, balls in the dirt....my PCI is all over the place. Just one of those days.

That Rollins is a great card. I went with Pettitte for my second pick, havent been disappointed. Im indifferent with Larry Walker. Probably never use him but its good for collections.
You should be able to get all 3. You're only 200K away and dont forget, we got double xp til tomorrow and we'll get 20K in the Season Awards Drop 10 program plus whatever we get in the Lou Gherig program on 5/31

@samguenther1987 glad to hear you got through it, everyone has been there, no matter the difficulty.

Must be you because I've been playing mini seasons all day and have no problems with pitchers only throwing balls and getting weak hits/Homeruns. And I also play on rookie
Like i said pure frustration, i may just be pressing. It is undoubtedly just me. My rant seems to have helped me though lol.
No, SDS definitely doctors the sliders for different modes, and showdown/mini seasons are the best examples of this.

What? Lol. Only difference playing mini seasons is that the average pitcher is a gold or diamond where as the Rockies pitchers are no higher than silver.

@Tylerslikewhoa I know , but my point was that pitchers have tendencies even in mini seasons. Learn them and rake . I went 15 and 8 playing on legend in mini seasons. ( finished the rest on all star) .
From learning their tendencies using hot/cold zone data and quirks data -
When u do a team build use your lowest rated pitcher in the 5 slot and you will get their lowest rated pitcher. You can literally have all 99 and one 98 , start your 98 and you'll get the lowest rated pitcher on their squad.
