Minor league franchise

Does anyone play franchise with a minor-league affiliate instead of the MLB team? Obviously controlling the entire franchise but does anyone actually just play with a AAA or AAA team throughout the year? I'm looking to do that finally and wonder what other people do.

My thought is to set up a team and let all of the transactions ride with the computer. So I am essentially just the coach at the mercy of Call ups and send downs. Maybe just control the drafting of players.

Definitely control the draft and I'd also control the trades.
