Battle Royale Rewards in Update 7
-
The 10 win reward must be a 90+ overall live series player.
If you manage to go 10-1 or especially 10-0 and see someone like Trea Turner as the 10 win reward, that is nowhere near a valuable enough reward for the time and skill needed to do so.
Going 10-1 or 10-0 is extremely hard for the vast majority of your player base. To possibly only reward them with a card that is around 5k stubs is not a positive change.
Also, for those that go flawless, please consider giving a stub voucher as a reward to choose from instead of a 87+ overall player. The flawless pack + a stub voucher would be way better than the flawless pack + a worthless 87 overall live series player

So you all want to tank the prices of the 90+ OVR LS Diamonds?
Sure, sounds good to me, makes it easier for the casuals to complete the LS Collection.
-
@Victor_SDS how about you address game play issues? SDS and the powers that be have been silent. No tweets, not live streams no nothing. most players could give a [censored] about this. Ramon even told us play how you want to play, unless what? unless it means people are farming diamond cards because SDS has implemented a slow crawl and that means with everything....UNLESS you want to buy stubs then you can get whatever you want.
Fix the following
Foul Balls
The Slider Glitch where the game recognizes a slider on the corner as out of the strike zone and significally shrinking the PCI
The Velocity issue, sorry there is one its nice to hit some more homers but c'mon hitting regularly 500 ft bombs, show sthat the Velo increased to get people who suck the homeruns that would normally be flyouts, because everyone should be able to hit homeruns regardless of their skill level, because homeruns are cool.Bottomline you wont say or do anything about this but the community would like some transparency, instead you like the rest of SDS want to continue to let the community scream down a long empty hallway.
But hey, at least you wont let players spend 1500 stubs to farm a 85+ diamond in BR which was never an issue until now, so im guessing SDS plan of forcing players to buy stubs hasnt worked, so now lets make sure players aren't farming stubs too. Whats next? no more free packs, I mean SDS has basically done that this year anyways.
-
I'll never play BR with them charging any stubs.
-
So, plainly; The big reward (10 wins) could be determined after just 2 wins. and if you didn't want that reward, instead of playing it out, you'd quit for a chance at a better reward. But they fixed it.
Is that what I'm understanding? I'm not good enough to have caught on to this, I think I've gotten 7 or 8 wins a cpl times this year.
-
Another move by SDS to restrict the flow of stubs. Not that I could farm 10 win runs anyway like the people this will impact, but it was the only consistent way to get stubs. I don’t really have sympathy for the top 1% of players who could do it anyways, but getting to 10 wins just for it to be revealed that you unlocked an 87 diamond would really bother me.
-
Translation - “we don’t want you making as many stubs, our intent was for you to be stub poor so you have to buy stubs”
-
@TheCanuckler309 Not even close...you may want to trade your translator in.
-
@GixxerRyder750 lol yes, people have known the BR path for years so they would always redraft if it wasn’t a good 12 win reward. Now in the year of the pack it’s “not how it was intended” lol ok then
-
I love that before my 10 win game my reward was acuna, love that after winning the 10th game it changed to Altuve, that’s really wonderful
-
Another change to DD that is “anti-player”
What happened to SDS…
-
@doobiebross66-72 my group of friends that play think this is coming down from Sony because they lost revenue going to Xbox, they still receive revenue from Microsoft for the game being on gamepass but not near as much for when it was PlayStation exclusive and everyone was paying full price. So they’re trying to hit the bottom line heavy this year.
-
@TheCanuckler309 makes sense. Unfortunate, but makes sense. Still sucks to see them take this route that will inevitably tarnish SDSs reputation over the long run
-
Where is Tylerlikeduh to say this a massive W by SDS lol

If you were already in a run; the new format shouldn't have been active until you redrafted.
I'd be miffed about that. But I understand them 'patching' it. I don't understand them thinking it wasn't an issue before this year.
-
Also annoys me that they quickly address and “fix” something like this.
Yet it’s crickets for actual issues like Paul Skenes’ outlier literally not working? The absolute miserable gameplay experience that foul offs create? The PCI shrinkage on sliders away? The created stadium that literally makes the game unplayable? I could go on…
But nope, let’s not fix actual issues with the game…let’s focus on BR and say that the player base isn’t playing it “as we intend” when the BR spreadsheets have been a thing for YEARS.
Just a joke honestly when you think about this
@Victor_SDS_PSN can you at least respond and acknowledge if the team is at least aware of the issues I’ve posted (as well as others on this forum)?
Altering BR in this manner and ignoring the actual issues with this game screams greed and quite frankly, is a middle finger to your player base
-
@doobiebross66-72 Literal years lol I've been using BR spreadsheets and even event spreadsheets, since 18

It’s pathetic…it’s like they assume we can’t read between the lines and tell that adjusting BR like this is an attempt to decrease earning stubs in a more efficient fashion hoping that it increases their in-game transactions
Yet they haven’t adjusted gameplay at all and haven’t addressed the literal bugs and issues that have been posted numerous times on this forum and social media
Definition of tone-deaf and frustrating to say the least.

Not defending them; but it's probably easier to code some type of random algorithm for the BR fix than it is for the other issues you mentioned.

And you can't really blame SDS for adjusting this, so to speak, when it's the player base that figured out and reposted which cards, in which spot, produced the more expensive cards.
You, and others mentioned, that you would redraft if a more expensive card wasn't the 10/12 win reward. So there in fact was an exploit that people were abusing in order to 'steal' stubs.
I'm surprised it took this long for them to patch it.
