Is it me or is the sense of urgency by the defense

Just horrendous. I literally just quit a game because my fielders were taking there time throwing the ball. So frustrating. Heres an example of a play that happened to me. A runner was heading home from third and my 3rd baseman instead trying to throw the runner out he decided to lob the ball to the catcher. SDS you obviously messed up the game this year which you still haven't done right by those who lost there accounts including me but you do have the ability to fix things in game like the urgency from the fielders.
Gameplay updates are coming, I assume.
One thing to keep in mind -- everyone is playing with the same lousy defensive urgency.
At this point in the power creep, there are a lot of great bats with meh fielding stats. So this also might be perception -- I've started taking D into account when building my teams if I decide to play online.
High contact and D > Buxton Boost, I say.

Good post! I havent noticed that bad of slow urgency but I have noticed the slow reaction times and poor fielding for non diamond players. My P5 sosa in right is an absolute weapon and has won me a couple games with his arm, reaction, and overall defensive abilities. I think we will be seeing some better defensive players being released soon that as a whole that should help

It pains me to watch a relay from the outfield. If I took as long to relay a throw from the outfield on my high school team as this game does....I never would've seen any playing time. Or to put a tag down? Yet the CPU can slap a tag through your slide and get you out.

This was one of things they supposedly worked on. It’s still bad.
-
@GoozeFn I was thinking the same thing. They actually showed gameplay of outfield urgency and yet it doesn’t happen in games.
-
I use precision rings and sometimes I have to push down a little harder to get my fielders to run a full sprint.
-
I appreciate that they made fielding ratings matter more, but the "urgency" feels inconsistent. I don't like that players seem to make no-look-throws with ease...
-
@chris9341 It's not just the sense of urgency, when they do move their first step is in the wrong direction especially in the outfield.
-
I've posted about OF's jumping the wrong way before a ball is hit. I don't think ratings matter as some have suggested. it's just unrealistic. Also, had line drives fall right in front of the OFs at times. Not sure why, it's like they gave up on the ball.

@LuvMyXBOX My outfields consistently take their first steps in the opposite direction to where the ball is hit. It helps to use speedy outfielders but that’s ridiculous.
