Pitching Attributes

So as it's been thought since at least last year's game, progression on pitches is seen as glitches not progressing beyond 37 for most people. And I thought that too until today. Just before heading to work, I managed to get my Starting Pitcher to the Majors and even played the debut game. After completing the game and heading back to the clubhouse to get the calendar progressed to my next start, I was looking at the Attribute Progression screen, I noticed that my 4SFB Velocity (which has been locked in at 37 since mid May) flashed "Attribute Increased" and had reached 38. And I had to remember where I was in my 2023 Pitcher's career in last year's game as I managed to get it up 40 while people were stuck at 37 and realized I had made it as far as the start of my first full season with the Reds. So I don't think it's a glitch, but rather a timed cap that will increase as you progress through your player's career.

Makes sense, but why didn’t SDS address it like they did the XP cap? Sucks for RTTS being left in the dark.

My 4SFB Velocity has gotten up to 40 in the middle of the Playoffs of this season, so I firmly believe progressing in your career is the key to maxing out your pitching attributes. The Break Attribute for both my offspeed and breaking ball are at least at 40.

If that's the case let us know how it goes when you progress through your career.

Following this thread because I'm also interested. Great thread. If this is the case, then I would ask why hasn't SDS addressed the queries that have been posted to the forum for the last year from people who have avoided RTTS pitching because the last thing we heard from SDS was acknowledging it and that they were looking into it.

Even last year when this was discovered, it was noticed that during a 2x period one could earn enough points to go from the approx. 1/3 bar to gain the attribute increase, primarily by spamming the desired pitch.
The bug is that you'd get to 1/3 of, say, 37, then get increased to, say 3/4, then instead of cresting you'd find yourself increasing to 1/3 again.
