Positives of today's drop
-
We've been covering the negatives plenty, but it wasnt all bad today
-Changes to BR track
-BR Henchman getting their own power creep, should be faster to get pxp
-Seoul/Spring choice packs x7
-30 TA cards + 12 BR Henchman + 5 Season Awards + 7 spring/seoul is a nice boost to the s1 collection, though only 7 of these were not expected
-Not for me, but harder version of showdown
-I think changing team pxp from 6k points per 1500pxp to 4k per 1k is a net positive, though you could argue either way -
Some solid points here. The more I got in to TA2 today, the more I am starting to think it won't take as much longer than I originally thought when it first released. Being able to use Chapter 1 bosses for PXP missions is making it go faster than expected.

That is pretty awesome to be able to use bosses from chapter 1, it might make TA mini seasons go by faster
-
Said it in another thread, but with repeatable and boss missions still being relatively small for a nice chunk of XP TA can still go pretty fast, but with the changes you can also go slower to pace it out.
So they basically gave us a choice on it. -
I definitely like the conquest map that it's repeatable

@sbchamps17 TBH, mini seasons is the better option. That map is huge and you only get 3 vouchers, vs. 1 Voucher every 5 mini seasons wins, which go by quick since you don’t have to conquer territories. And there’s packs
Just a suggestion.
-
I'm just pumped to get those icons out of the unlockables packs. Wooo icons! Who isn't excited?!

I agree mini seasons over repeating the conquest map. The map is 1 voucher for every 5 strongholds taken(aka wins), the same ratio as in mini seasons.

When you're comparing Vouchers, you're correct. But you could also look at it from a gameplay perspective...Conquest you're playing against the CPU lineups as opposed to a Juiced up team full of Diamonds. I get that you can play on the same difficulty level, but some people may have better luck hitting against that Bronze Pitcher in the 5 spot of the rotation vs. whatever 85-91 Diamond someone's got in Mini seasons meaning they may be able to score more runs and gain more XP. Not trying to be argumentative, I just think both options really have pros and cons depending on what you're trying to accomplish. Mini Seasons may give more vouchers to progress through TA, but Conquest may gave better PXP gains to go through it that way.

I've complained quite a bit but this drop feels pretty good to me. All sorts of ways to complete, decent cards for the casual and better cards for the grinders, some cool TA cards that get the Buxton boost that I'm shocked weren't completely nerfed, and a way for me to acquire old cards for collections or fun that I didn't have the stubs for. All and all I was pleasantly surprised by the drop - maybe because expectations were so low.
-
I think this was a pretty solid drop, the BR power creep was a nice suprise.
The old choice packs being added as no sell is OK as it also killed values on the market so should be easy to scoop up most cards for collections. I resevered myself to not buy packs long ago so this is all good.
While this will give lots to do the pacing of programs hopefully will pick up here and there is indication it will along with a new mini season.
It's not all doom and gloom but still need to have more revelant packs earnable before they become phased out by the power creep

@BiigD008
Can you earn chapter 2 vouchers in TA mini seasons??

You sure can.
-
@GixxerRyder750 IDK if it's because we had better cards early every season last year, but that Whales team is no joke. I get the connection with the name, but even though it's just the CPU, it's easy enough to slip up and not win some of those.

vs CPU in a clown ballpark is going to ultimately be the most efficient option. The repeatable missions for 25 RBI/40 TB with divisional players give 10K each. Thats your best source of TA progress I feel.
