How are low skilled people suppose to complete BR?
-
I had 20k stubs when I started yesterday. I have about 400 stubs now. Sitting at 81 points. All player missions are done except for 1 and I just need 1 at bat with him. I lost 2 times in a row more times than I can count. Which is taking the entry fee which might as well be 1 million stubs and flushing it down the drain. If I pitch the ball 1 millimeter out of the zone then nobody swings, anywhere in the zone and the ball is destroyed. I have no idea how I'm supposed to pitch. I feel so worthless since all I seem to do is lose. Because in this game only the rich and top pvp players are rewarded. How are low-skilled people supposed to complete BR? Why do the elite players get to farm cheap and easy wins against stupid and worthless people like me? This game makes it very clear, Be perfect ( Be rich enough to buy the pack or be a top PVP player) or get nothing like the trash you are. How is BR suppose to be completed?
EDIT: I finished the BR program for anyone interested. I would lose sometimes by 1 other times by 10. I did win a few here and there. Somebody in this thread advised me to look for duplicate cards to sell. I had none but I did have some Diamond RTTS perks to sell which gave me the stubs to finish, so thank you. It takes me 3-4 days 6-10 hours a day to complete BR. I firmly believe the final reward should be sellable for that kinda time investment. Thank you for all the advice and comments.

Where do you sit on the 15k/25k point missions?

15k is done and 17,852 on 25k. But that will take another 10k-15k stubs of which I currently have about 500

I sit in the 600's for ranked. I win 4-5 games per BR entry, so I was able to get it done for a reasonable amount of stubs. So, I'm not sure what to say. How are you in Ranked? Do you play over there?
That said... I really struggle in events, especially early in the cycle. Keep your chin up.

I don't play ranked. I used to suffer through BR when it first dropped. I would be deeply withdrawn and depressed for a few days after but I could get it done, sell the card high, and buy it back low at the end of the month. I used to do that until it was changed to no sell. It just gets so old, losing over and over with no end in sight.

I hear u my guy! I wpuld suggest practicing hitting on allstar and hall of fame for 10-15 minutes each. Work on seeing pitches, timing fastball, and get into a rythym.
Then jump to HOF and just mainly work on timing pitch swings. Then go Into BR. I will guarantee you'll do better. In regards to pitching, throw pitches you yourself aren't co stantly looking for when batting.
When u throw strikes, aim for in between spots. Don't Sim for corners down and in, down away, up in, up away. I ALWAYS look there first and will smash those more than pitches around the 1/4 of the zone. Why? Bc when reacting, I tend to react to corners more than in the zone. Unless it's down the middle. I've gotten out on those in between the sweet spot of the zone more than anywhere else. Give it a shot.I have my girl playing on this account with me. She's not the best either, but she's improving. She won 5 games once on her own. After going 0-8 on her first 4 tries...
If she can do it, you can! -
Just gotta keep practicing.

@Firestormx it's a video game buddy. There's no need to allow it to affect your mental health in a negative way. I deal with anxiety and depression more than the average person due to some unfortunate events in the past. Please, if the game or game mode is hurting you mentally, don't play it.
There are ways you get the br rewards without ever having to play br.

I let the goons get events over with before bothering with them lol

I don’t even try. At the end of the season there will be rewind packs, and BR will be less competitive.

Low skilled player here
-If you are using zone and cant hit with it, then use directional. up and pull every time, normal contact. You still wont hit much, but you'll get more HR and thus more run. You can practice zone offline.
-As most people are tough to strikeout (except me), weak contact is key. Sinkers especally are you friend. Cutters can be good too, but lead to a lot of early swing foul balls or can be sat on. Obviously you need to throw other pitches as well, but dont assume what works against you works against others.
-Draft silver relievers with good pitch mixes. Dont waste golds or diamonds on starting pitchers
-Some goons hit everything and there is absolutely nothing you can do but take it. -
I do think they should revise the track some.
All player missions, all cumulative missions, and 15K should = 100 stars
One step is move the stars from 4k run to 5k total xp. The people who can hit the 25 hits are already hitting the 4k, its just double stacking rewards for the people who dont even need it. That move hurts no one, and only helps the people who already need a hefty grind

You can’t. Just gotta get good. That’s why they put the points path program in there to help you.
It’s like saying why can’t I get good in Champions weekend in any EA. Why can’t I make top 100.
Well. Cos you’re not good enough. What else do you want to hear? It’s the same for 99% of us bro
-
Play mini seasons games on All Star to warm up before heading into BR. You’ll earn packs while doing it too, which might have cards you can sell for the stubs you need
If you haven’t looked at your duplicate cards and uniforms in a while, you might have thousands of stubs just sitting there.

No its not like that at all.
The BR track is badly tuned. I don't think its unreasonable for a lower skilled player to want to be able to grind for the 100 star mark. Ranked works well like this already, so with some tweaking to the track BR would be much better. Leave event as the no skill? go home track.
Its not like he is asking why he cant go flawless (your top 100 argument)

Just gotta keep grinding away bud. 2 years ago you had to go 12-0 to get the prized cards. At least now you have a path.
-
I feel like 1500 stubs per entry is a bit much this year considering we basically need to buy every pack just to get the cards. Nothing else online you need stubs to play
-
Every year BR gets easier and easier to finish the program. It’s spoonfed to people now compared to a few years ago. In no way shape or form should they make it even easier to get to the Main BR reward.

And how does this hurt you? Terrible take, take the elitist attitude elsewhere.
