Team full of 99s. devs?

Playing co op with a buddy and the team we are playing has nearly a full team of real 99 players. Also when I tried pausing the game to type this my game unpaired itself.
Anyone else seen this before? Are the devs cheesing co op?

@go4stros25 maybe devs maybe some of there top streamers or possibly even a pro did you see any weird 99 that you know doesnt exist that usually means your actually playing at against that specific pro buf its extremly rare ive seen it once or teice in like 10 years of playing ranked.. I dont see how somome can have anh more than 3-4 right now even playing 24hr a day with thr xp cap im not sure thst many are even available yet.. mayhe after all the [censored] that went on today there playing some games themselves to make sure everything is alright

@b00std_mark_II idk. They had the real volpe , the real soto, the real snell, a few of the real prospects, the real Bello, a bunch of 99s.
We lost 9-10 to a walk off homerun in the bottom of the 10th.

@go4stros25_PSN you hit x when choosing players in co op and select unowned players and you can pick 99s, everyone is catching on and using the bug now

No one takes the coop mode seriously so have fun with it. It’s mostly full of scrubs and casuals

The most incompetent dev team strikes again!
I truly hope NCAA football is good and this game just dies. Im so sick of buying it because of my love for baseball but watching these lazy devs leave broken [censored] in the game year after year because anytime they try and fix anything, they just break 20 other things. This release is [censored] embarrassing.

That never even occurred to me but it may very well be. Do you get rewards and stuff for CO-OP mode? If this is the case then yes that could be considered to be ill gotten gains but if it’s just between friendlies then to me I can’t see the harm I mean personally. One could say it’s almost like getting to use some of the all-time teams on day1 in exhibition mode if you think about it….or like getting to use good cards that you don’t have yet during moments and showdowns.
You don’t actually get to keep the cards in question do you? I can see that being heavily frowned upon if so also lol. I certainly think you should go with your gut here and if you think it might be a violation of the TOS then yeah I’d probably avoid it too. I’m very guilty of sampling bias in my perspective which gives me a bit of a blind spot when it comes to what’s acceptable when playing online because I’m about 10 games short of being able to say I’ve zero experience lol
What are your thoughts?

Same thing happened this morning. Played co-op and our opponent had 99 Real Juan Soto and bunch of other minor league Real 99 cards. Thankfully we beat them bad and they raged quit on us.

It's a really bad look for those Real 99 players to have their personal cards just floating around like this.
