Created players nominated for ROY with several MLB service years

I've been playing franchise mode with some favorite legends. I created them and added to my roster.
I found something awkward that they are nominated for Rookie of the Year despite giving them several MLB service years.
Is there no way to prevent them being nominated for Rookie of the Year even though they were given several MLB service years?

I just created Miguel Sano, with 7 years of service time. Added him to a roster, and he shows as a Rookie. I am curious if there is a way to have him not be a rookie as well.

That's exactly what I want.
It seems like they use logic to only check the number of played games that meet the rookie eligibility.
It would be good to change the logic to double check not only the games played but also the service time.

If u modify a player with stats ( like C. Perez on the White Sox, it gets rid of the R.

So what I did,

Loaded the default roster
Modified C. Perez to my liking
Exported the player
Opened my custom roster
Imported player

This works, only downside is the stats are not accurate, but...
