XP Cap and Offline Players

Amen, Brother!!
-
Yup, 100%. Online, 9 inning games are torture.
-
@DivineFury75 The live series collection for me will get done when I pull the cards which will probably August lol.
-
Thats what has always bugged me about these rewards for being really good at the online part. Those are the last people that need better cards and players. I get rewarding people who are at the top of the rankings with things like stubs, packs, and things like that. Giving them players to make their teams even better seems like you are just creating an even bigger gap between the top end competitive players and everyone else.
-
Crazy to think you actually have to play all game modes to get all cards…
-
Awww, so you want like a participation trophy , bless your heart
-
@DivineFury75 curious where you’re at in the XP reward path?

XP Cap affects Online Players the exact same as Offline. You realize that right. In actuality, they'll hit the cap first because they're receiving XP Multipliers while you're playing on Rookie. All the extra XP is earned through the program which isn't effected by the XP Cap. The whole idea behind how XP works this year is that everyone still has the opportunity to earn all those high end 99 cards. Offline and Online alike, but online players have the opportunity to earn them faster. It used to be that the only way you could even obtain a lot of the high end cards was to play online and actually win. Now, theoretically, you could go in to ranked, set your controller down and collect innings and eventually accrue enough points to collect those same cards that they're actually trying to obtain by winning. It's the second week of the games life cycle...they're going to be tons of programs offering tons of XP that won't be affected by the XP Cap. You'll get your 3 99 boss cards. You're just upset that you can't have them tomorrow.

Online players are not affected like offline players because they are getting way more xp in programs, which is the exact point of my post

I personally enjoy the challenge & competition of another real person so I like playing RS…But that’s just me. SDS’s whole thing this stream was “play how you want to play” and that the xp would be the same regardless. Well, That’s just not true. I personally enjoy RS & Conquest but don’t like BR. But now we find out that you can earn additional xp by completing the BR program. Why? That’s making people that play BR have an advantage over people that don’t…And that’s contradictory to what they’ve been saying. Not cool.

@DivineFury75 you're well on your way
Have you completed the mini seasons? I know the Classic Mini Season has some solid XP rewards tied to it. -

@DivineFury75 You can. No one is forcing you to play online.

You're missing the point. Online players will have BR and Events updating on a very regular basis giving Tons of XP that offline-only players have no way to get and no comparable program to get xp from.

@DivineFury75 The game just came out. You know they're gonna be adding programs, updating mini seasons, dropping random conquests, etc. You guys are acting like the game as it is now is what its gonna be forever....with no offline updates or additions.

SMH Online players can get almost 100k XP that Offline players won't ever see but we should just sit back and hope they don't continue to forget all about us and give Online all the attention.

The problem I see with SDS is that they are changing too much about the mechanics of the game (like XP gains, etc) without changing much about the actual game itself. They could sell the concepts better if it was more than just a copy and paste game for the last 6 or so years. Don’t see how they could’ve expected anything other than outrage. My mind still goes back to that early game release stream they had that Thursday night. They turned it over to a scripted presentation with Ashley and a couple other non-developers doing most of the talking. Nobody on the back row looked like they wanted to be there. There were just hints at what was coming with XP (etc) and then we couldn’t even play the first couple hours because of server resets. In hindsight, it really all explains why there were no tech tests or pre-release trial plays. I was sucked in this year because they were talking about new animations and gameplay ideas. Honestly, a lot of those animations are broken and frustrating (like diving and having to get up and run the opposite direction before throwing to a base, etc). I say it every year, but I’m definitely not buying the game again until the game is changed up graphically and mechanically some. We are 4 years into next gen gaming and the game looks the same as it did 7 years ago. Now they take away freedom of gameplay. Joke.
