Trade for draft picks
-
Can we get the option to trade draft picks in franchise.
-
Can't in mlb, so no they wouldn't let that be put in.
-
You can trade comp picks in real life. Baltimore traded a pick to the Brewers to get their ace pitcher.

@sgoforth3 I assume you mean Corbin Burnes. They technically traded future considerations. I believe the way this works is Baltimore drafts who Milwaukee tells them and trades them that player.
The game should make game should remove international players from the draft and have a separate international signing period before worrying about trading future considerations or even adding cash considerations into trades.

@fubar2k7 Not according to MLB rules; the only restriction regarding trading a competitive balance pick is the acquiring team can't trade it away.

@yankblan My memory isn’t the greatest at times. I just told him what I thought happened during the last time I saw a draft with a traded pick. The team trading the pick made the pick and the player belonged to the other team. I assume this player then cannot go to another team per the rule you mention.
However, I repeat. This doesn’t matter at all compared to Japanese players and Cuban players never have been in the amateur draft and never will be in the amateur draft. Neither are players from any other nation so that is more important in my opinion.
