I think it's terrible how SDS has limited our ability to get team Captains

If you want to try multiple theme teams, to make them truly viable you need some boosts.
In years past you'd get Captains from other places (I believe, such as LS collections maybe)...but they gave us 2 hitter captain packs and 2 pitcher captain packs for 25K each. And then what, 2 more form the S1 program?
IMO that's just not good. It also hurts when trying to do the TA programs.
I am really hoping that they give us additional ways to get these -

I understand a certain amount of trying to make money but that did leave a bad taste in my mouth.

That's just greedy...100K in stubs to get 4 team captains??? -
You can earn them in the xp path, but you can't earn every captain, unfortunately.
It would have been nice to offer both team captains as pack rewards in team affinity. But I guess that's asking for too much.. -
In the content stream they did mention that they do want to get these out to pretty quick so I do suspect we will see them added to other areas soon. The Egg hunt program and the RS update is my guess at when we will see the next round of packs

Lol i mentioned this before about them being in the shop day 1 , and folks acted like i was crazy 🤪. You're right, it's BS that SDS is throwing these packs day 1 at 25 K in the shop when last year they were attainable in TA and we could get ALL of em for free. Now our choice is buy 2 packs at 25k each, and the s1 reward path that gets you 2 packs and is a grind.
So the way its setup now, we can only pick 1 or 2 "theme teams".

Its a weird choice but Ill hold off judgment until later in the season as its too early to build theme teams now anyway. I would think we are more likely to get all 30 for free over the course of the year than not, its just a matter of how soon they come.

I always try and collect every card for my team and having to shell out 50k in stubbs to get two captains is annoying. They didn't even allow them in the marketplace so there's no chance of a discount there.
Frustrating. Let me earn them at least... -
You are in too much of a hurry, I have the first hitter captain and am almost to the first pitcher one in the xo path, my choice is the home team obviously, but even with the Phillies being one of the most stacked teams right now, it still builds like a BR draft.
by the time these builds become worthwhile, we will have a decent amount of captains available to earn. -
Watch SDS add these captains to Team Affinity 2 in a cpl weeks, causing those who spent 50k+ to lose their mind, lol.
