I’m hoping it’s fixed going into the game a month away but the RTTS trade logic needs an overhaul. The amount of times the team need is ignored in a trade is too [censored] high. For example, team needs relief pitching in the worst way (has two starters in the bullpen, 5 bullpen arms). Instead they keep trading for hitters even though the team has no injuries. I finally got my team to trade me in RTTS, and I get sent to a team with 5 OF’s over 83 overall (I’m at 95). Meanwhile the player I was traded for was a 95 overall SS. My old team now has 4 SS with overalls of 95, 91, 89 and 89. There are literally 2 players (the 89’s) that never get an at bat and only one of them pinch runs occasionally (16 game of pinch running in 3 seasons!!). Meanwhile the team that I was traded to (with the 5 OF over 83) JUST TRADED FOR AN OVERALL 74 OUTFIELDER!! Like what is this logic?? I don’t get it

LETS ADD TO IT… the game just had my team trade our All-Star closer FOR ANOTHER OUTFIELDER. None of the outfielders are injured or have been called up. What is the need for collecting hitters in positions that are already filled??? Now my team has 5 bullpen arms. None over 80 overall… we are the wild card leaders and 3 games out of first in the division. What kind of logic is this?????

the trade logic in the March to October bugs me.. i will have needs like SS, SP and OF and the game will offer me other positions in trade..1B, C 3B etc.. Even when i want just prospects in return, it will offer me older players.. ugh

Absolutely agree, this is the unfortunate situation of programmers that don't know much about baseball and the folks that provide input not checking the little things, more effort put forth to DD instead of single player modes

Every game developer needs at least one old fart to remind them of who the true greats were lol sometimes google just ain’t enough

I volunteer @Blind_Bleeder or @arvcpa_MLBTS for the position hahahaha

Franchise has some whacky trades by the CPU at times. I’m in 2025. The Twins traded for Cody Bellinger. They have Cedric Mullins in center. At some point they traded Byron Buxton. They now have 2 CFers but no really good LF or RF options but instead of using Mullins there or at DH they turn around and trade Mullins for Amed Rosario who they use as the DH because they have Carlos Correa. Only thing that makes sense would be that they probably had some kind of money issues once they got Bellinger. Maybe that happened in your RTTS as well.

Playing mlb25 and it is still bad, playing on the nationals and the team traded away our 3 best performing players for what. 3 low rated pitchers. And we have that enough. The trade logic is still tragic

I think the logic in the manager interaction is that you get a decent degree of agent interaction in your first year, with the draft, signings, etc... Then, things drop off. What I think SDS is doing here is mimicking the reality of the renewable contract period, where the player is pretty much locked in with his original signing team and trades are the exclusive right of the team.

In other words, for the first four years, you avatar player is operating on the rookie contract. What the game code does not do is replicate the "super two" concept where if a player's record puts him in the top two percent of performers, then his timeline for arbitration is moved ahead.

What I found with MLB 25 is that when my avatar player first hit arbitration, then the agent came back to life, contacting me at three scheduled times: spring training, all star break, and post season. Each of these interactions provided the option to coordinate a trade, change positions or role, or say everything was fine.
