With the amount of resources dumped into creating this game, why are single player modes constantly neglected? I understand that a big chunk of revenue stems from DD but even that is in a state of decline. Perhaps project managers need to balance customer needs/requirements with the organization's benefits. If you want to grow your revenue especially in a market that takes advantage of hype, why wouldn't you produce a product that meets all the customers needs which will grow your customer base as video game players typically play games based on other user's experiences. The word of mouth within the community is free advertisement, and if you build a product that meets customer needs, they will be more likely to promote your product to their network. RTTS is so poorly designed that it creates a negative gaming experience. Baseball is all about the small details, and typical users are big baseball fans. Watching Aaron Judge or other top power hitters laying down a bunt in RTTS is absurd to say the least. Why are top 10 pitchers getting hammered? Its things like this that are frustrating to watch and see while playing. I think the customers deserve more effort, and better design. There are more topics and parts of the single player modes that can be brought up and i would be happy to contribute them if required.

I’m a single player who doesn’t play online and I play DD. It isn’t just for online players.

Everyone knows the answer. SDS is slowly converting to EA 2.0. Everything is eventually going to be monetized, and modes that don't maximize that will be abandoned.

Even worse is when you lead your team to a big 5 run rally only for your bullpen to blow it and lose the game!!! I mean, of course it can happen in real life but the rate that it happens in RTTS is ridiculous!!!

@AllRise99 I sometimes wonder if as your player gets better, and eventually becomes superman that the game has a way of nerfing the rest of the team so that a projected team won loss, or stats for the team balance out?
Not saying this happens, but it would make more sense in explaining for me going 4-4 in every playoff game, only to watch the rest of the team take the series off.

@fubar2k7 while yes you can play DD offline, the real rewards are all based on online playing, i grinded every program and collection offline, and now that the game cycle is complete i decided to play RTTS until the next iteration is released. But had i played DD online, I would have completed everything even quicker. My point is that single player modes like RTTS and Franchise lack effort and hinder the gamer experience. It is actually more frustrating than enjoyable playing single player/offline modes.

@darkblue1876 i agree with this take, sitting here watching the farm system get traded away for garbage returns, pitching rotation getting murdered, no run support, being stranded on base nearly every time and then watching the bullpen get wrecked is pretty infuriating. Lol its just silly.

There wasn’t a single reward that made me even consider playing a ranked game, event or BR. None was better than what I already had in my opinion. Every time I blinked it was some made up fantasy card like Marcelo Mayer or Jackson Chourio. Best of all is I maintain my sanity and never have to play quitters or run into whack jobs like that skunk tree guy that kept getting banned in here.
