Overall vs. being good at everything; to get called up
-
I was mashing the ball with an overall greater than the starters in both AAA and MLB. Never got called up. My fielding was below the average. I tried changing my skillset so now fielding, running and hitting are over the average, but my overall wnt from 81 to 75. I immediately got a cutscene saying the scouts are in attendance. Is that what you need? Balance more so than a high overall?

Depends on what the mlb team needs really. If your position works for them they will call

When the agent calls mid season ask for a trade.

There is a hard cap during the first season. AA to AAA occurs right around (for me, right after) the All Star break, AAA to the Show typically first to mid August.
And I've had power hitters called up with below average fielding and I think average running. Perchance, a lot of that relies upon your position. Have a power hitting decent speed 2B who flew to the bigs, his OVR was greater than all the 2B for Cardinals...

Knowing RTTS you’ll win the MVP then spend the following season in AAA.
