Hopefully Season 6 have Legends cards available.
Lots of Legends need other cards.
Ex: Lee Smith has two cards. A Core Silver from the BR Program and a Charisma card from Set 1.
Meanwhile Kyle Schwarber has six cards. Two Core Silvers (BR Program and LS) and a Diamond for each Set from Set 1 through Set 4.
Ridiculous.

Legends have been very much put on the back burner in favor of current players this year. I’m not sure if this is being done at random or if SDS feels people are more interested in today’s players. My gut feeling is that most of the devs are young and have very little knowledge or appreciation for older players and are trying to capture that younger demographic to play the game moving forward.

Is it too much to ask for another ‘Junior’ card? I don’t have the desire to go through the extreme program and haven’t had one since ‘the kid’ in set 2. Was hoping for a finest, since I don’t remember him ever having a finest series card.

In the streams I watched I would say they’re fans of the 80s and 90s which is why those players are overly juiced. The current players probably get jacked up because they cater to the casuals to come and go in hopes they’ll stick around long term.

I could live with even more players from the 80s and 90s as that was the era I loved most as a kid. I’m talking more about the 6 versions of Kyle schwarber while we have only 1 or 2 versions of various hall of famers.
The players that still could use a juiced 99 include: Gehrig, Verlander, Bagwell, Seaver, Wagner, Musial, Walker, and Piazza just to name a few.
Moving forward I truly hope more players are added to the game to flesh out sets and seasons for 24. It’s time they invest a bit of those profits back into the game to avoid so many duplicate cards and redundant grinding.

@TripleH-4481_PSN From what I’ve come to understand some people like him. Claim his swing is amazing. They also apparently like Jake Cronenworth so he could get the same kind of treatment. In the past it was Jake Lamb. I’m not in that boat. I never used him and never tried to get a single one of those 99s.

Musial was another who was seemingly in a league all to his own…has there ever been a card in the past years that did him justice? One would certainly hope so! He truly was ‘the man’ and I remember being so stoked to get his card last year in ‘22 but I couldn’t do anything with it at all…which, come to think about it, pretty much sums up any card that I use lol

His 1948 card should be insane. Lead the NL in every offensive category but HR which he missed 40-39.

I would imagine MLB has a lot to say about the game and the push for current players and especially future players to add excitiment in the game. Look De La Cruz who's had 3 99 cards that have been like end game yet had a decent season for rookie. Making him out like mike trout out of the gate.
