My only good card is 95 SS Captain Jimmy Rollins. Any specific programs or Team Affinity you recommend doing? Lots of options and don't know where to begin. Thanks for any help.

@eatyum When I do Team Affinity 5 will I get credit for the previous TA's or do I have to each TA individually? Any specific Conquest maps you'd recommend? Awful lots of them. Didn't know if one gave better cards than another.

Each one individually, but TA5 is the only one with 99s, I'd do the ta5 conquests and the showdowns, so if you do the two conquests and showdowns there, that is 12 99 diamonds already

I assume you picked Rollins from your Captains pre-order pack.

Sell him and work on the LS Collection.

While the cards you get, minus Core Jeter, Sosa, and Big Mac, aren't 99s; they'll help you with the Core Collection.

Also any card that you use, that's marked Core, will get you points towards ALL of the TAs. That way you can unlock some of the earlier cards at the same time.

Also, once SDS releases more Captains packs, which I'm sure they'll do here next program (Dec 21st) his price WILL drop. So I would get as much for him now before he's eventually 10K.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X Thanks for the advice. Are there any cheap must grabs on the market? I'm going to try to grind the event with core players, but that might be easier said than done. I'd much rather play online than grind Conquest and Showdown. Just saw I get credit for every 10 innings pitched online for TA5.

@jaychvz I think I'm going to go the core route. Does every card get usable perks now or is it still just Live Series and Monthly?

If you're not worried about your W/L record and your stats with those Core cards; online is the route to go.

You can also get some decent core cards by completing the USA Conquest Map and the Starter Program.

I'd buy some of the higher LS Diamonds to field a competitive team and mate try to complete some of the lower level teams. (A's, Pirates, etc).

And remember the next Season (6) that starts Dec 21st; you'll be able to use ANY card.

Also, you could try a team full of LS Diamomds (as many as you can get) in the WS Program. You'll start off against lower competition, although they may have stacked teams, but you should be able to get some decent players there. Also with the BR Program. Just remember; any main reward earned in those two programs, unless you make it to WS or go 12-0 in BR isn't sellable

As for buying older cards, chances are when the next season drops, SDS will probably offer Rewind packs with those cards on them. So I wouldn't bother buying any as you can eventually earn them.

Just focus all the stubs you get on the LS Collection for now.

If you do March to October, you will get points for the division you choose to play as in all of the TAs. So, you play four of them (once for each division) and you can be about 30-50% done in TAs 1-5.

Only thing I don't like about MTO is that you can't play with actual cards; which means you can't parallel players.

Yes, I agree it's a fast way to get all those points. But unless just want to unlock cards fast and not actually use them; you're losing out on some decent cards.

Now, if he wants to unlock cards faster, so he can have a GS for online play, MTO is thr way to go.

I agree that MTO is an awesome way to go and fun too. I’d also like to recommend doing one of the Player of the month programs (POTM) as they can be done start to finish quite quickly and it will enable you to outfit a lineup of players ranging from 95-99 that is very competitive right off the bat. I still have players today from these programs on my very best squad and a great secret to this game is that it doesn’t matter who everyone else says is the best cards, but rather how well YOU do with them is all that counts.

Enjoy yourself partner - I wish you the best of luck!

    1. Do the Postseason programs.
These are probably the best cards you can get quickly. Nothing lower than a 97.
After doing moments and showdowns, use those players for the conquests (the XP will apply towards the postseason program and Team Affinity).

Bonus: Postseason Mini Season is a good way to get even more cards and packs (just check the Goals)

    1. Work on the Julio Rodriguez and Juan Soto PotM programs.
Just more usable S4 cards that can help you grind for TA.
Do the moments/showdown first, use those cards to help grind XP to finish the monthly program and TA.

Bonus: Monthly Mini Seasons is a good way to get even more cards and packs (check goals).

    1. Grind Team Affinity.
      Showdowns, Conquest, Moments

    2. Have fun!

So I took your advice and sold Rollins and was able to collect all the NL and AL West. Just need Judge and Jose Ramirez to collect all the AL.

I went the online route and played 6 event games and only got one voucher for TA 5. If you're the away team you only get credit for 2 innings pitched. I didn't get any credit for the previous TA's. I'm using Core cards too. How do I get credit for all the previous Team Affinity?

It appears there are lots more Conquest and Programs this year. I'm not a fan of this grind. I don't play Showdown or MTO. I hate moments too, but those can at least be done quick.

I would like to add that there needs to be a faster way to put in bids. Must've spent 4+ hours just putting in buy orders. That's ridiculous and tedious.

They only did the online vouchers thing for TA5. TA 1-4 is all PXP based

@SkunkyTrees1977_XBL this. The vouchers for pitching 10 innings online, while repeatable, only work in the 5th TA. But if you look at the team's PXP, in each of the other 4 TAs, you'll see slight progress. It will be a long grind to complete them.

Whole it may be tedious; you may want to take @Blind_Bleeder advice and knock out some MTOs.

Probably take you about 6-8 hours to do one; but you'll knock out those TAs fast.
