Hitting and Wind
-
I’m hoping that hitting is made a lot more reasonable in next year’s game. For one thing, I know people complained about wind creating negative hitting results before 23, but I do think SDS really needs to give users the option of playing with wind or without wind if there’s a way to do that. I don’t think never having any wind is realistic. A lot more of my thoughts about my hitting experience are in the post in this forum that I last posted in on November 2nd. It was entitled,”Hitting is Unreasonable and Unrealistic in This Game.” If the hitting is the same next year, I may just go back to playing 21 and not get 24. I don’t expect to be great offensively, but I also don’t expect to totally dominate on the mound while merely grinding out “enough” runs and hits to win. It’s very boring, and I’m not into that anymore. I enjoy winning, but I’ve also reached the point at which I now care about exactly how I win.

I had some issue about this at launch. I had to play with the sliders to make my franchise not play like the dead ball era. They need to put wind back for offline play. I’m hoping it was an error to remove it completely and they just couldn’t fix it mid-game cycle and it’ll be back.

Yeah, I agree. I sure hope SDS fixes it if there's a way to do so. Not that having wind is everything, but it does have an impact. It could be the difference between a deep fly ball and a homerun.

I hope they fix their new scouting system so multiple teams can play and participate in the draft. I was playing a second franchise with my girlfriend’s son only to get to the draft and have one of our teams have to sit out of the draft. I volunteered to let the CPU draft but the kid being a typical 14 year old just opted to quit.
