Why did they get rid of collection by series this year?

I always enjoyed collecting based on the series. Why did they get rid of it this year? The entire collection by Set seems not as fun.

ya where you collect for rookie cards, awards cards, prime cards, etc...

It is still possible that we have one big collection around say December but it looks like seasons has replaced it, i too prefer sets.

I am the only one who doesn’t then… I prefer this method as I would have too many extras of one series and not enough of another

This doesn't bother me , I'd wouldn't mind either method . My big issue is having 4 versions of the same player, unless the card is from a different team , for example Reggie : Yankees, A's and Angels. But multiple of the same player on the same team?

This is nostalgic. Reminds me of collecting cards as a kid and trying to get the entire set.

I think what’s worse is having the same player have different cards from the same year.

If the same players didn’t receive different cards in different sets I would this year as I said

I keep getting all these core cards from BR, etc. They're just gathering virtual dust.

The idea to collect different series was cool, the only downside was near the end of the year when you needed those random 7 “prime” cards and they were all 200k stubs and it was simply just impossible. Todays method gives you more of a chance to obtain rewards
