Back after 3ish Months

I got that itch to play some baseball today, fired up the show for the first time in quite some time and it wasn’t the best feeling coming back to a game where 90% of my starting lineup and pitching is now ineligible due to seasons. I get it, I knew it was gonna happen. But waiting until December to be able to use cards I’ve earned previously? Yeah no thanks

After that, I blew through my 250k in stubs filling in gaps on my team by buying set 3&4 cards. Hopped into ranked and had a great time playing the game. I still think this is by far the best online gameplay since 17. Was very fun using cards I normally wouldn’t use otherwise

Then I looked at the content and programs

And wow is it extremely dull, unattractive, and reminded me why I stopped playing this game/got burnt out during set 2

It’s the same repetitive grind, over and over. Yes this has been DD for years but spending hours grinding offline to barely play any online mode due to Ranked/BR/Event rewards being doo doo just led to me personally getting burnt out quicker this year than any other by far.

I hope they keep this gameplay engine and improve upon it

But if content is similarly structured again next year with no new type of H2H mode, ehh I’ll pass.

Anyway, hope you all had a fine summer and enjoy the upcoming MLB Playoffs. My Reds are still hanging on by a thread in the wild card race
