Contact vs Vision
-
If I want to increase my PCI size, so its not the size of a pea. Do I go for Contact or Vision? Sorry if this been answered. Some are saying both vision and contact. What are the pros for stacking contact or vision?

Vision affects size of PCI.
Stats wise, "vision" is likelihood of making contact with ball and "contact" is likelihood of base hits.

In past years, yes this is true. This year, however, vision has a different effect on the PCI in that it only affects the outer ring of the PCI. Contact and opposing pitcher’s per 9’s are what affects the inner PCI.
Heard McGunski say this in one of his most recent videos. I went and tested it myself and, sure enough, he was correct.
Edit: opposing pitcher’s per 9’s may also affect outer PCI size as well as inner PCI size, as I did not take that into account when I tested it. Main point is still that contact affects inner PCI, vision affects outer PCI

^^Bronxbombers is correct. To add on to that, the outer PCI has to do with fouling off pitches (i.e. higher vision=more likely to foul off pitches), whereas the inner PCI has to do with generating good contact results

I figured that contact had some say in pci size this year cause my 1 and 2 hitters are Acuña and FotF Albies, and Albies has a noticeably smaller pci against RHP than Acuña does despite having much higher vision.
