They won’t let me hit. I started as a SS / CP. Eventually I became a SS / RP. Worked my way all the way up to the majors. Had an amazing rookie year.

Then got sent down and forced to. SP only. They will not let me hit at all. I unlocked Diamond Swolhei and still, no hitting.

I’ve simmed seasons on seasons asking my agent for a change and still I get no traction. I really don’t want to start all over again. Is the any way to salvage this?

A shortstop AND closer how incredibly wicked! You just conjured images of a 50 homer, 50 save season….how cool would that be!? I would’ve never thought of that. Hope you’re able to get this corrected soon partner

When you do a position player/closer, does it let you play the field and pitch the 9th?

Are you speaking of a two-way created player in Rtts? If so, I’m just not sure I’ve seen anyone describe this yet or if so, not for a while…but if you’re referring to a card like the IKF card or this latest card with Braves card then it certainly IS possible to start the game in the field and end up on the mound (you just need to swap out DH then do a defensive pos switch with the pitcher) OR vice-versa. It’s fun to do this actually!

    Hope this helps.

Yes, I want to create a SS/CP like the other guy described above. But I don't want to go through all the hassle if it only means I'll be part time at one or the other. With a two way starter you can be in the rotation and then have the other 130 or so games in the field or DH.

Basically what I'm asking is that will the computer just use me as a closer on some days and SS in the others, but never both in the same game? And will it make me close, then sit me for several games for no reason just to have me close again?

Ahhhh. I see. Phew I can’t say for sure but I’d just about be willing to bet heavy gold that what you’ve just described unfortunately sounds exactly like what I would expect this game to do. I believe it would go down precisely how you described although I know that’s not how you’d wish for it to be.
However I can’t say for sure but I’d almost bet if you did go through with the player that you would know in about an hours time the answer to your question. Surely the answer is out there online somewhere but you may have to be the trailblazer that goes and finds the answer for everyone else lol

    Good Luck

They did not let me close games in which I hit. It was one or the other. That is why I switched to RP. That way I got to hit more but still got a taste of pitching occasionally. It was perfect until it was taken away.

Is there any way to get customer support from the source? I guess this is just my SP now. I looked in general and they literally turned my two way player status off.

The RTTS "manager", heck, the entire system, is barely coded to "take advantage" of the full potential of two-way players.
    To wit:

    1. SP/XX (any fielding position) combos are all "you do nothing but pitch" on your designated rotation day, it does not take advantage of allowing you to hit in the same game you're pitching.
    2. I played a SS/CP myself. Even in the minors, it was "oh, this dude needs to pitch (soon). Start giving him days off till the team needs it's closer / he has to pitch due to too much 'layoff'". After that pitched inning, would go back into field until the "dude needs to pitch soon" logic caused this cycle to repeat.
    3. Honestly, I'm not sure how, or even if, the Ohtani Rule (pitcher can DH in same game) would work with relivers. Remembering that the DH "goes away" if you sub that player out of the lineup, once you "switch" from SS to pitcher, the game would have to either leave the starting DH in (preserving the spot but ending any chances for you to remain in the batting lineup) or "double switch" you to pitcher and have the "replacement SS" sub into the DH spot - killing the spot if the game goes extra innings.
