More fun: 19 vs. 20

I do. I only play offline so I only have that for a reference. last year hitting was very frustrating with hard contact going right to fielders, lost interest pretty quick and didn't feel like playing. this year mto isn't all or nothing and is very very fun, offline doesn't seem to experience the problems people are complaining about, and is very enjoyable, I am on pace to exceed my 19 play total by end of May. this is a completely offline experience, and if what I saw in the player league streams is what online plays like I am not going to even attempt any games at all this year.

Maybe it’s decency bias, but I felt like I enjoyed playing more last year. Wasn’t quite the frustration that I’m having this year. Main headaches for me this year is bad fielding, bad baserunning, inconsistent results and feedback hitting and frustration with showdown.

If I lose a 9 inning game this year, it’s because I didn’t play well enough. That wasn’t always the case in 19. So I’d have to say that I’m enjoying 20 more.

See, I don’t know if I can even say that with the amount of forced errors, bad baserunning and inconsistent hit results like the noted occasions of good-good and good-OKs

Not to say that you aren’t having a different experience than I am @IIJACKINTHBOXII

On all star difficulty there's no difference in fun. On HOF+, I prefer this year by a decent margin

For some reason I haven’t had such a big issue with defence so far, seemingly unlike the rest of the community. Base running has been good for me too. Maybe I’m just lucky. But the hitting, even post original patch, is just way better than 19. 19 was a line out fest and really felt out of your control. Last year I lost about 60 ranked seasons games, and about half or more of my losses left a bad taste in my mouth because I felt like I deserved to win. This year I’ve got six losses in ranked, and every one of them is because I didn’t play well enough. Issues with fielding and base running need to be ironed out, and they will, but hitting in 20 is so much better than in 19, and that’s why I’m enjoying myself more.

Last year for sure. This year is driving me crazy with the random hits on feed back. I’ll be good-good and ground out then early-ok and homer. It’s way more random and misleading than ever before.

Turn the [censored] feedback off and you will have a much better time. Hitting is not messed up, the feedback is

20 there just seems more content to me. As well as more competitive!

I wondered this the other night and loaded up ranked seasons on 19. In a 9 inning game I had 18 runs, my opponent had 13. I’d rather play 20.

I’ve honestly been really hard on the developers (because of all the unnecessary gameplay changes) and there has been times where I’ve been beyond frustrated with this game, but overall this is the most fun I’ve had since 17.
It’s miles better than 19, with the perfect-perfect hitting engine, card diversity, content, etc.

20 by far. Idk for me 10-9 score games are way more fun than 1-0

I like the offline modes this year — Conquest could use a revamp as it gets pretty boring, but currently is the only way to play with your DD squad. Showdown is a good challenge, even if frustrating. MTO seems more fun this year.
But I thought last year was better in terms of card content, they threw so many players at you, and early, that you could constantly change your line-up to try out new guys. This year it seems a bit stingier, both for players and especially earning stubs. A relatively dead marketplace from the lack of baseball doesn’t help, either.
I just wish they’d bring back the souvenirs from ‘18 [jk].
