I was on the fence about whether difficulties are inconsistent based on mode until today. I've played 9 conquest games and 2 play vs CPU games today, all on rookie
All 9 conquest games....all freaking 9 were 1-0 wins with no more than 3-4 hits a game. 3 extra innings.
Both play vs CPU games
38-1 win 47 hits
(Avg 15.6 hits per 3 innings)
31-3 win 42 hits
(Avg 14 hits per 3 innings)Don't get me wrong I've had plenty of conquest games I rake in but far too many rookie games in conquest the hitting just seems nerfed.
Side note conplaint....these team affinity Capt cards DO NOT hit to their ratings because even in those two blowout CPU games they hit like toddlers while the rest of my team raked balls. Also to date I've seen zero difference when applying Captain perks. This seems like a placebo passed off as a new addition.

Sometimes you're better off not utilizing the captain feature because of the negative attributes it creates. I once had a captain who was a 39 speed (and his goal was XBHs - yeah, right). When I utilized his Tier 1 Captain attributes, his speed dropped to 36. Sometimes, it's better to leave the captains alone.
-
I've used angels team captains and I believe they do help. I've won ranked games vs all 99s with a mostly live series angels team with tim salmon boost and ohtani boost . My best hitters are live series Renfroe and live series Rendon .

There is no question that every mode plays different. Especially conquest compared to vs. CPU. Conquest also is easier at veteran compared to rookie.

So if you have conquest games where you rake are you saying that they change the difficulty on you just for certain conquest games?
In other words if you hit well the difficulty is fine but if you struggle they just decided to change it on you for that game only?

Something definitely feels different with conquest this year the last game I played I had 5 squared up perfect-perfects that were weak flyouts to center
-
Playing on veteran seemed to solve this problem for me, plus a stronghold game on All Star. I scored 3-5 runs the first inning in each of those games while drinking
-
I had 3 extra inning games as well. I also had an outfielder climb the tall wall in Cleveland and make a spectacular catch.

I get thrown out by Hunter Renfroe just about every game that he’s in the outfield lol but I just keep a tryin

Not what I said at all. I simply said that there is an obvious difference whether I rake or not. I don't score 30+ runs in every vs CPU game but it still seems way easier. What don't you understand about the math I showed in my examples as evidence? I'll make it simple
Most Rookie conquest games 1-2 runs
Most rookie vs CPU games 30+ runsYou comprehend that anyway you like but don't try and twist what I said

I agree that conquest can be very hit and miss while vs cpu is not only more consistent but usually easier. Some games the hitters swing noodle bats and the cpu dots while others I hit off PCI homers and the cpu leaves meatballs right over the plate. I can usually tell if it’s gonna be a tight game in conquest after the first few batters.
