Game runs like it was made in 1992

That’s because the game is still running at 60 FPS, it isn’t 120. Until they drop old gen and bring in a new game engine it’s going to be this way.

Wrong. I play at 4K 120fps on both my PS5 and XBox X. This is really old news…

This game is so far behind other major sports franchises technologically. The lack of features and server stability is honestly a joke at this point. I’ve been a fan of the franchise for a while but they’ve been so stagnant the past 2 or 3 in regards to improving their online stability and lag. It’s just sad because it always benefits the person with a worse connection and hurts the others.
I've never had an issue.... ever. But I also have fiber, so I guess the solution is to make sure you have a good internet connection. Which makes sense if you're playing a game where milliseconds matter.

The OP obviously didn’t play any video games in 1992. I will admit that Zork was fun, though. But, when Dark Forces came out in ‘95, we were in gaming heaven.
I loved the Sierra Games. Countdown, which now that I think about it might’ve released in 1992, is still one of my all time favorite games. That and Scorched Earth.

The last part of his statement is true, old gen is killing the game.

I’m not just talking about the connection I’m talking about the actual build of the game too. There have been no significant improvements to animation smoothness, the way pitches move, player builds, graphical improvements for ballparks, etc. Ever since the game moved to Xbox and Switch the actual core gameplay has been shoved to the wayside. And as someone else pointed out, as long as they are wasting time continuing to build the game for old gen they will never be able to fully maximize the performance of next gen consoles by creating a new game engine.
