I’ve literally played Season 3 Affinity Central showdown 8 times in a row now. Make it to Holland and lose by a run. Played West for a break. Lost on the final one before the boss by a run. I wish there was an answer to this. Maybe save your progress after the third try. Something.
I’m just over Showdowns. Time consuming just to lose on the final two. Might be done with this game. To upsetting. Sick of raging.
you gotta get better mate simple as that - no need to cry over it - just practice and if you are raging then take a break go outside do something cool in real life - i hope this helps you and have a great weekend
Lol completed my first attempt this same exact one
easiest thing ever these showdowns and its not a flex by any means - i feel like previous years games were just harder with the extreme conquest and stuff - showdowns is do emails, wait for pitches, i usually get almost allof the mini missions and i skip the 2nd last one before the final boss
Do e-mails??? I#6ajo1-●°♤♡¿☆ wut?
Haha maybe I should try doing emails instead of sitting on my hands to wait for a strike lol
mate you should - trust me - i am 100% serious when i say i have done emails casually while waiting for my 2 strikes and run the pitcher up in count - i love how the Bunnyman cannot even understand the concept that showdown is this easy for some of us

is that such a hard concept for you mate? does it ruffle your jimmies that some of you guys try SO HARD and fail in showdowns and some of us have our eyes closed getting it perfect the first time, every time?

Brother I was being serious also I thought it was a great idea (my hands might smell better too)

My biggest complaint is the significantly overpowered defense. On showdown, even the first challenge of the first inning showdown it's like triple diamond defense at every position, and even silver tier pitchers superdot and have bugs bunny breaking balls.

my apologies i thought you were bashing me there for the idea !!!! and LOL at your hands comment
personally i hate showdowns because of its offline feel you know - i love RS and events but i do love doing the showdowns for all the perks along the way of completing it - emails are key bud - get that pitcher tired - i never care about positions either - i just stack good hitters - and use only the exit velo perks

I'm with you. My son did the WBC one for me (after I tried it over 40 times and couldn't get it).

I'm gonna order some Chick-fil-A

Same, but will try again when on vacation.

The best advice for Showdown is to take your time and be patient. Wait for the pitcher to drop one you can hit. Steal 2nd but NEVER lead off 2nd if the SS is covering. Same glitch happens in Showdown as it does in PvP. You will get picked off.
This Showdown series was much easier IMO as there were no "elite" pitching to face and every one is on Veteran setting.
Take your time.

To all the "get good" responses....thanks for the well thought out constructive advice that isn't by any means a waste of space and your time. To the OP or anyone else there are some good suggestions/strategies posted in here and here is mine for what it's worth.
For starters I hope nobody worries about actually filling proper positions it means nothing.
Make sure your lineup isn't unbalanced with too many right or left handed hitters since we can't preview pitchers. As you draft new players keep balancing so in the later showdown challenges you can set the best line up when you see the pitcher you are gonna face. The highest rated with most power isn't always the best. Good vision and decent speed is way more important.
When you first start substitute the scrubs on your bench with the highest speed guys you can. You should be able to add a few between 78 and 88 if you're lucky they'll be one in the 90s. They are great for pinch running when you need that run scored from 2nd. As you improve your team always keep at least 2 high speed guys on the bench you'll almost never need a pinch hitter so just keep 1 or 2 tops.
Always take these 3 perks in any order if you can. Eagle Eye, Hero Time, and Rally Time. From silver to diamond as you upgrade.
The above works for me in all showdowns and I've had a pretty easy go with them this year. Hope it helps.
