Proper connection speed for TheShow20
-
Hello,
I currently have a LAN connection of 29-30 mbps (download) and 2.5 mbps (upload).
When I play online rated, everything works, except there is a split section lag when I pitch or hit (which is messing up my timing) and also there is a lag when baserunning, when I click on advance runner, it's like the command takes one extra second to process, which often results in my runners being caught in a rundown and being tagged out. However, when I go to my brother's place (who lives in the same city with the same internet provider) and I play online rated, he has 20.4 mbps (download) and 3.0 mbps (upload) speed and everything works smoothly. Why is that??
Please help, thank you in advance.

My money is on the SDS servers.

I'd put money on the SDS servers being garbage. I'm running 400+ mbps. Some games smooth and some games the lag is so bad it looks like my first day playing. Also matters which player is hosting the game.

Sounds like imput lag. That would be your TV.

TV. I love in the middle of West texas. Only provider is AT&T and believe it or not they're still running DSL in this MF. Lol I get a whopping 18 Mbps.... MAX. But I have zero input lag since I got a monitor. TV is not made for this game. It can't process the data fast enough.
It's like trying to fit a square peg in a round whole, with a twist... The twist? You're Stevie wonder and you only have one hand.
