R2 / RT

Why is being able to press R2 / RT during an AB still a thing? Being able to slow down your opponent's pitcher and even throw off the pitch timing is a joke. Not to mention, it also drags games out when someone's doing it nonstop. If what they truly care about is seeing your pitcher's arsenal or slowing the game down during a big moment, they should just go to the pause menu.

Tell me you quick pitch without telling me you quick pitch.

Not necessarily. How about this scenario: coming set, waiting a beat before even selecting the pitch, and then R2 comes. Usually as the pitch is selected, which can mess with the aim and a step-off is required. It's not good and pretty pointless. I can remember how I've been pitched throughout the game, so R2 seems extravagant for that purpose and is likely only used to mess with pitch delivery. The only improvement made has been to limit the length of the hold and only one press per pitch. It's definitely a lot better than it was before, but the core problem of it hasn't been solved with regard to times when quick-pitching isn't on the table. And even if it is, call time?

Would you rather SDS turn on balks because I remember a few years back they did it for an event and let's just say there's a reason we don't do it anymore

I don't get it a lot, but at least 1-2 times a week I get this. I set, then I am hitting the button to throw the ball, and it won't because my opponent is toying with the button. Probably to force the timer to automatically throw the ball down the middle for a freebie.
I press the button twice if that doesn't work then I just step off the mound and start over. SDS does nothing to police the cheesers online. Sometimes it even feels like they encourage it.

It’s like having a foot outside the batters box…

I don't have every pitcher's pitch set memorized and I use it 4-5 times a game for that purpose usually
But its typically immediately after the last pitch/play ends, not while the pitcher is about to throw -

If having this foot outside the batter's box allows you to TK the pitch location to straight down the middle unless the pitcher steps off. I know we're not playing real baseball here, but no one here signed up for blernsball or ouija boards.
