Other program…just in time for father’s day

I am a big supporter of this game, I also play primarily offline so a lot of the things that bug people don’t tend to affect me. I do think it’s pretty obvious they are kinda making things up as they go right now.
-We have an other program that has 0 hype behind it coming out tomorrow.
-The online rewards have been very unfavorable the last month. I haven’t seen anyone really excited about guys like Minnie Minoso (great in real life, not so much in the game), Gerrit Cole, Andre Dawson etc.-They just added a 12-0 stipulation to an event and made the reward a 97 Kerry Wood which seems to have made twitter almost as mad as the fake 99 Griffey last year.
I’m just saying: I think this 99s from day 1 and overload of content now has them kinda throwing spaghetti the wall to see what will stick. I might be wrong. Oh well, just an observation. I can’t imagine how the rest of the year is gonna play out.

I came on here and said how much I disliked this 99 day one/Set idea (as others did as well) but people defended them by saying SDS will have a good plan in place for this.
Another example of this community giving them too much benefit of the doubt. It’s been very apparent that there’s been little planning at all with this. They are just slapping random overalls/ratings and players (some that have multiple versions per set) and releasing them.
If they actually put thought into this, there would be better planning with what players are getting what Set of card and when.
They’re going to need to dump a bunch a Set 2 cards in the next week or so or people aren’t even going to have much desire to play at all when Season 3 comes around.
Filter the market place by Set 2 cards and see how exciting it will be when Season 3 comes.

Yep- Kerry Wood 97 Kaiju. Not even a desirable reward unless your goal is to collect everything. That’s been mine the last two years and maybe as the game winds down in October/November I’ll think about it, but as of now there is no chance.

Depending if they come out with a 99 for him. But they're (SDS) is pretty much limiting him to people that can go 12-0 or people that want to buy him.
Is it replacing a LS 90+ Diamond or do they give them both?
Looks like they're gradually moving away from casual players. Add that in with me having to sit on 5-6 pitches before I can get a strike thrown by the CPU, if I miss on a borderline pitch, non-sellable Event, BR, and Ranked Program rewards, and that I'm going to be taking time off while I recovering from my surgery this Friday; I may not have any desire to come back.
I'm two cards away, Goldschmidt and Betts, from finishing the LS collection. Even though I have close 250K, it's not enough for both, and I can't force myself to just buy one now.
Hate to say it; but I may end up moving on to something else. Diablo looks decent. The new Jedi SW game looks good. Madden comes out in a few months, and WWE 2K23 should be on sale soon

In their defense though if they put a great 99 card that everyone wanted as the 12-0 reward people would have exploded and yelled about pay to play.

This is funny - I've seen a few posts by you about this, and I thought you might be exaggerating. I've been focusing on RS/BR for the last month, and haven't played offline much. I went back to RTTS as I noticed that I wasn't too far away from getting some Diamond Equipment packs.
So... 150 AB's into my current season, I'm leading the league in walks. I've NEVER done that. I'd say in a typical RTTS season, I might walk 10-15 times (which is silly, I know). So even though I'm a free-swinger, I'm still walking a ton. Crazy.

I am surprised that this program has got no hype by now there would be some reveal they dis release on of those coach trailers that indicated a new legends so maybe that's why they are holding back.
The 12 win reward for events is a head Shaker cause that's one of the hardest things to do in this game with how sweaty events has become.
I do feel they are experimenting alot this year almost like this year's game is being treated as a beta test for next years game when it goes full current get and leaves the ps4/xb1 era behind.

The thought that I paid them $100 so they could “experiment” and beta test for next year has me very excited to pay them next year.

I like a lot of cards but the amount they’ve released this year it’s just way to much. We still have so much time left on set 2. Cards are going to become so redundant soon. When they just start releasing cards in set 3 and 4 exactly like we already have now.

I know! Where's the hype-machine at SDS?
They just seem like they're mailing it in this year. They threw everything and the kitchen sink card-wise into the 2023 version, and I'm just kind of bored. I can't prove this, but it feels like the Programs were better in previous years. I'm missing something as simple as replaying the US Conquest map. There's no reason to do it this year (by the way... WHERE ARE MY GOLD PROSPECTS???). I've stayed away from Mini-Seasons since they're broken for me lately.
I also remember in previous years that SDS seemed to take a more active role here in the Forums. I was excited to see that CBrev was added to the team, but the only time he posts is to tell us that "a fix is coming for that". There's just no engagement.
All right. Enough negativity for me. I'm going for a walk on the beach. Tough life, I know.

The Cavan at 93 I'm good with but his dad at 93 makes zero sense when I have a 97 that would be my wild card for a ASTRO team build in season 3 as it stands

It’s not 12-0 in events it’s for 12 wins in an event run so you can be 12-1, you can tell how many guys didn’t play DD before 18

I give SDS credit for trying something different this year, but it should be clear from Community feedback that what they are trying is not satisfying.
Offline only player. The game is EXTREMELY grind-y, for very little worthwhile rewards.
I mean, I just passed 420k in this program. I got 2000 stubs! That is ridiculous for being 65% of the way thru the program. How about a 100k subs? Now, that’s a reward to grind for.
They need to return to the 2021 model for rewards. Seemed like every time I played, I got something worthwhile for a Collection.
I don’t want something for “free”, but I do want something Collection worthy for grinding.
2000 stubs ain’t cutting it.
