In my opinion: Created Stadiums have ruined online play.

Here me out. Just played someone that was using a created stadium that had the highest elevation, that was allowed, and the outfield fence was 2ft high. And I'm sure they had the minimum depth required. And to boot; this a-hole had rain turned on.
Add on the unsellable BR/Ranked rewards and online it isn't worth my time/effort to play BR/Ranked. (Unless I go back to a PS4)
So now I have four options:
- Deal with it. Not likely
- Home Hunt: And possible never find a game.
- Strictly play offline modes. BORING
- Get rid of my PS5 and go back to a PS4 where I won't have to deal with Created Stadiums. Seems like the logical answer.
-
Treat them like teams treated playing at Colorado in the 90s. They kill your pitchers but boost your batters. They don’t happen every game and hopefully balance out more where they happen less over the long haul. Stay positive and don’t go backward to the PS4 just to stay sane.

I don't like when I end up in those type of created stadiums either, but getting rid of your PS5 because of one aspect of one game seems a little dramatic. I'm pretty sure you claimed you were going to cancel your PS5 order before it even arrived a few weeks back over whatever you were complaining about at the time to, and then you were excited about it when you did get it and saw the differences from the PS4.
I would suggest a 5th and 6th potential option, and these are the two I choose between when I am in the same situation, because I do agree with you.
- Just quit that game and move on to the next one in a legit stadium
- Just play the game anyway and do your best to beat the person who chose such a dumb stadium. At least you get to hit with those same ridiculous dimensions and elevation.

- Isnt an option in BR. Now that I can't recoup my stubs by selling the Flawless reward; I have to treat each game like it's a must win situation.
Ive played 8 games so far and have 3 points.

In general the game doesn’t feel good to play overall this year that’s why its population is rapidly dwindling. This is a just another layer to put on top of the other issues.

Yeah definitely not an option in BR. In that case just beat the dude and make them regret playing in a dumb stadium.
Its the best feeling when I end up in a situation like this and hit a bunch of homers in the 1st inning and the person quits because of their own horrible stadium.

I never ran into this until this season. Imo it should be patched to not allow such ridiculous dimensions and wall heights (in either direction). Overall though it's been pretty rare for me to run into. Leaving cross play on helps reduce the amount of created stadiums for sure. Additionally, they could add a setting to finding opponents that stipulates no created stadiums. Personally, that's what I would choose.

It's a simple fix. Don't allow Created Stadiums in online play. You want to make a stadium that is no bigger than a sandbox? Well, beat up on the CPU.

I don't disagree at all. It's been more trouble than not since inception.
