Over the past week, I've been seeing server disconnect messages while playing MTO (to get the points for TA). It doesn't affect MTO because it is offline, so I didn't pay attention to when they were happening.

Today, I begin the TA S1 ALE program and begin a CPU game with all of the cards I've accumulated because of other modes I've played. I get into the 7th inning. Ohtani has his 12 Ks and I put in Gonzales to begin working on his 600. He throws a few pitches and the next thing I know, I'm disconnected from the server. Nothing saved - no progress whatsoever.

I have great Xfinity internet, but sometimes it becomes unstable when lines are being worked on nearby. I know this wouldn't happen if I lived in the city...everything would be underground. Or, maybe it's because I don't have a dedicated IP address set for my XBox...maybe I should do that.

GRRRRRRRRR...sometimes living in the mountains sucks.

Sorry for the rant...I just had to yell at something.

That sucks but I bet it’s beautiful where you live.

Well, yeah...it is. I can't deny that being able to stare out at pine trees while playing The Show isn't awesome, because it is. I just have to take a deep breath and go on with the game 🙂

I’m in the suburbs in Connecticut. Outside my window are my annoying neighbors I avoid at all cost until my girlfriend forces me to be social.

I get that! Another blessing of being amongst the wildlife and trees...no neighbors, and I can be a hermit until my wife makes me run errands in the city. 😆

I sold my business back during COVID so I get to spend my days playing the show. When she retires we plan on something more rural.

EDIT: I’m not some boomer. I just turned 50 a couple weeks ago. My accounting business was too small to make it through COVID and found a bigger fish willing to buy it from me. Not that being a boomer is bad.

It's so worth it. I retired so my wife could live where there are seasons (we used to live in SoCal). I miss being close to the beach, but mountain life is awesome.

Yow! That must be rough. Almost as rough as being a Dodger fan among all these Giants fans LOL. It's bred in me to not like the Giants. I can endure the River Cats (Giants AAA) but that is about it.

I'm actually an Angels/Twins fan (long story). I used to be a Dodger fan back in the Lasorda days...since then, it became too frustrating to root for them (and that is saying something being an Angels and Twins fan - triple LOL). One of my prized possessions is a Vin Scully signed baseball. I was lucky enough to see him after a game one night and he signed it for me.

I got it from my dad who was a die hard Brooklyn Dodgers fan so for me it was hating the Yankees as much as the Giants. Color me jealous in the Scully baseball. I had a cat named Vin as a kid.

You must really want Rod Carew in the game being an Angels/Twins fan. That is not as weird as me being a kid and my favorite player was Will Clark. I guess I didn’t realize I was suppose to hate him. 😣

Will Clark???? He was an outstanding player! We all have our vices LOL.

Carew, Torii, Baylor, Winfield...there are a lot of cross-overs.

It's so worth it. I retired so my wife could live where there are seasons (we used to live in SoCal). I miss being close to the beach, but mountain life is awesome.

Dodger fan? I’m a Dodger fan out in the middle of Yankee / Red Sox land.

    Boo Dodgers.....Yay Giants

Over the past week, I've been seeing server disconnect messages while playing MTO (to get the points for TA). It doesn't affect MTO because it is offline, so I didn't pay attention to when they were happening.

So "get off my lawn" kinda guy? LOL It get's worse as you get older.

OH Man - that is funny. The only thing I can yell at to get off my lawn is wildlife - and I want them to eat the vegetation to keep it down (unless it's a bear or cougar that decides to bed down...then I might yell at it). If I lived in the city, though...

C'mon - admit it. You're not so much a Giants fan as you are a fan of some of the players who were on the Giants. You know which of those guys I like too...but I only whisper it in the dark recesses of the 'net 😉

I’m a Dodgers fan who was clueless to the rivalry other than Yankee hatred my dad instilled in me. I grew up loving Will Clark and love wearing my 1989 WS Clark jersey even though I actually know we are rivals know.

Why MTO? Why not Mini Seasons? At least with Mini Seasons you get vouchers that can be used on either division. With MTO; you're locked to the division that team is in.

    @X-FREEZE-OFF-X_PSN

With MTO you get points for both Season 1 and 2 at the same time for the division your team is in. You only play 2-4 innings (and unlike a 3 inning game, you don't have to worry about the pitcher's strength. If you play locked as a pitcher, then you pitch 9 innings or a fielder, you play when they would play - like in RTTS). You only play about 1/4 of the season (except for the postseason, you play 2-4 innings of those games) the rest of the games are simmed. You choose your difficulty level, the harder the difficulty, the more points you get - so, if you want to play on legend, you can get up to 97,500 points for a 150k point program. And, you play with Franchise cards (not DD).

1/4 of the games may be too liberal of a guess too. I had 6 games simmed at once one time.

It really comes down to how much you want to play and what you enjoy more. For me, MTO outweighs Mini-Seasons.
