Player progression/regression halts after 1 completed season in franchise mode

Concluded the 2022 regular season, completed an entire offseason worth of transactions, and even started spring training games, but there has been no change whatsoever to the ratings of players on my team or on CPU-controlled teams. Shouldn't older players get worse, and younger players get better? Instead, everyone's traits are exact same as they were when playoffs concluded.
Anyone else see this?

Wait. I’m trying to understand this. So you can’t figure out why players didn’t progress or regress in the offseason? Players don’t progress or regress during the offseason. Just during spring training and the end of the playoffs. I hope that helps. I’m hoping I understood what you were trying to say.

I should say they only progress and regress in the time period between the beginning of spring training and the end of the postseason.

Yeah like I'm not even seeing any arrows up or down either way on anyone player's card, whether for overall ability or for individual traits. In years past, you would see that have an impact on players' overall ratings before the very first game of Spring Training. Spring Training is underway, I'm playing games, and nobody's traits seem to be progressing or regressing. Guess I'll just have to see what happens when I get to the regular season
