This is absolutely horrid the amount of times I have been winning and gotten stuck in a “freeze-off” against the opponent. You’d think that a million dollar company could handle having stable servers but no it just completely freezes and random times horrible times.

It’s unbearable. Not to mention the cooldown penalty you get if you decide waiting in the freeze off is not worth your time.

Turn off crossplay, make sure you have a wired connection.
Online games are peer to peer, there’s no dedicated server for your game.
