Make me so mad and need to somehow fix it. A guy who takes an extra step knowing you will throw over but takes off as you throw over causing you to throw a red bar at first base. Either give me the meter everytime I pick off or dont because he took off. You cant have it both ways, it causes exploits like this. And inevitable he gets 2nd. Now I've learned to wait before picking off but it can still get me at times

@Amishjosh another thing, I had a dude manually stealing 3rd, he jumped early just as I attempted to pick him off at 2nd, he was safe at 3rd before my 2nd baseman could get it there. BS

No need to throw over with the extra steps. Just hit L1 and step off the mound. With all those extra steps now he’s stuck in no mans land. Just run towards him and throw to whichever base he retreats to.
Another way to stop this is change your throwing settings to just buttons instead of button accuracy. That way there’s no meter and you won’t have this problem

Exactly!!!!
Do not let the game or exploits cost you.
I never make additional throws or throw over. I simply step off.I made the change to button accuracy after always playing with buttons. I have noticed that the transitions while using buttons were smoother. Now that I use button accuracy it seems like the fielders take longer to get rid of the ball. They werent great before, but now I notice that they are a bit slower.

I have always used buttons rather than button accuracy...decided with the new catch animation I would try the accuracy setting out bc I thought this was an advantage when green lighting throws but after using both I see no reward in the accuracy mode...only more risk...

I like the button accuracy simply because It adds something to the game.
I might switch it off once I get the trophy for a perfect throw home. -
