I notice nothing different between diffaculties other than pitch speeds. Is that how the game is designed?

Rookie you still need near perfect input at the plate to produce hits , and pitching mistakes are lost over the fence. You’d think a rookie difficulty would add forgiveness to these things , with the difficulty climb requiring more and more precise input. Doesn’t seem to be the case this year.

You can say this takes away cheap hits and home runs all you like but fact is rookie and veteran difficulty isn’t
used for online play. Why are these settings so unforgiving ? What is the goal here from the developer?

To me all this is doing is extending the offline content and turning it into a slog. Even on the supposed lower game difficulty. Every batter sees deep counts , My lineup full of 97’s feels no more potent than my earlier WBC starter line up.

Ultimately if user input is going to be the 100% be Al end all in determining success this year , then I think the Perfect/Perfect rng needs to be a little less RNG.

Changes pitch speeds, pci size, and pitching difficulty. However, if you’re struggling on rookie and veteran you may want to try out some custom practice.

It comes and goes. I’ll go 10-15 games just hammering everything and then 10-15 struggling to win. Inconsistent. Regarding the PCI change , don’t think that really matters because no matter which difficulty I’m on ( rookie , veteran or allstar ) if I don’t have my pci centered up completely I’m not getting a hit.

One thing I've noticed is that bronze pitchers that have 58ish control are consistently able to dot pitches on the edges of the strike zone on rookie.

What? The basic fundamentals of the game do not change from lower to higher difficulty settings lol

You have to square a ball up to make good contact and get hits- that’s on any level:

It’s just wayyyyyyyy easier to do it on rookie than it is on all-star

And it’s wayyyyyyy easier to do it on all-star than it is on legend
