Mini Seasons Would Never Start and Always Reset

Was I the only one who spent several days without playing this because every time you try to start a season it keeps saying to restart the season?
After the weed wore off, I realized all you have to do is "double click" square instead of holding it down. Just an FYI for anyone else that might be this dumb.
