Screwed up save system

Does anyone know if the save game format is the same as RTTS 22? I'm referring to the inability to have multiple save files for different types of players, I was beyond furious when after playing a two way player for a few seasons and created a position player only to find that when I went back to my two way it was just a copy of the position player. If the format for 23 is the same then that will end the streak, every game for the last 10 years, but I REFUSE to waste money on 23 if it is the same.

Are you sure you were loading the correct file when you did that? You can use multiple players under the same save file. If you wanted to go back to your original two way player file, then all you had to do was manually reload it. The game loads your most recently created file by default unless you specify.

I think I understand what you're talking about. I just had something similar happen.
If I'm guessing correctly what you are talking about, it loads your active ballplayer no matter what save you choose.
If you're playing your 2 way pitcher and save and then change your active ballplayer to the position player, when you load the pitcher save, you'll be playing as that player.
So, make sure you change your active ballplayer to the one that goes with the right save. Worked for me.
