I feel like they’ve ruined conquest this year so far. That whole mode should be for grinding and getting stats completed. There should be no reason the cpu should be able to run the map how it does. I don’t understand how they always have unlimited fans and never seem to run out of stuff. Last year I could complete a map quick this year it’s been tough and it shouldn’t be
-
I’ve had no issues. It takes more fans to take a hexagon compared to previous years but I have never seen the cpu “run the map” lol. Take an extra turn and add to your borders if you’re having problems.
-
I havn't had a issue yet either, done every one except the big map. If you think the cpu is too aggressive try stealing fans.
-
The only issue I have is that I’ll win a strong hold and four turns later a team is no longer dormant and attack the strong hold. Last year I remember when I took out a stronghold the team was dead, it’s two steps back playing hall of fame games, I don’t remember it being like that last year. However, besides that the game is awesome this year.

There was an issue with Seattle I believe it was last year on the USA map were if you conquered their SH they would still reinforce their other hexagons. But that was the only time I saw that.

You have to remember that if the cpu has an advantage of 3-1 of fans next to your hexagon, they will attack your weak hexagon. You want to reinforce those where they have fans built up so they don't attack!
-
My hexagon had 11 and the cpu had 1. I lost. I found that odd.
-
I’ve done all the Team Affinity Maps and almost done with USA. Doesn’t seem any different to me fwiw so guessing you just got unlucky.
-
I'm with the consensus, I've done the WBC map, starter maps, and i'm 2/3 through the USA map. It's been the exact same difficulty as previous years. In fact, I feel like I've had better luck with simming than the last couple years...so maybe it's actually slightly easier. I know a few people have put out strategy guide videos on how to beat conquest easily, so if you're struggling maybe search those out for a refresher.
-
Maybe I’m just salty because it’s taking me forever to finish the WBC conquest lol. I’m use to getting through them pretty quick but this one for some reason is taking me longer than usual even though it’s fairly small.

Other maps did that all season

WBC map is a little tougher cause it's small, most maps have a little space where you can build up,tougher to do on the wbc map

The cpu cannot attack if it had only one!
-
I'm a Conquest veteran! I do think the AI make it somewhat more difficult for you this year, but haven't noticed anything too egregious so far. That WBC map was a little more of a grind than normal, for the reasons someone stated above.

They don't have unlimited fans... they gain and lose fans the same way you do.

If the team still has fans and gets lucky enough to get more territories and eventually another stronghold they can stay in the map... you have to get their strongholds and their territories... if a team reinforces or moves fans while they have a stronghold they can end up having tons of fans still on the board... I've had this happen to me where I have taken a stronghold from a team and went to focus on another team meanwhile the other team moves back in on the territory and takes it right back from me because I didn't reinforce the stronghold... Conquest is all about keeping your eyes open... me personally I get tunnel vision once I'm fully immersed in a particular objective during Conquest and sometimes it comes back to bite me.
